Ref is Simon Hooper today folks

You must think I hate all refs but as an ex ref I take an interest in their performances. A bad game means nothing. 3 or 4 bad games with the same team on the bounce becomes psychological.

The two refs who have an issue with us I believe have been our last two refs, Martin and Hooper. Other refs who have not had their best performances with us this season, I have a lot of time for, but Mr Hooper and Mr Martin should have a season away from us.

Said he's a PL referee. The Hoilett claim (certain pen) that was ignored, he lifted his whistle half way, then didn't blow...

...is this because he now has VAR? If he's wrong he's used to being corrected.

Don't get my wrong he was woeful, fat, unprofessional (laughing at our players) and just a c*nt, but they make a good point.

Might as well pop over to Asda and ask if any customer has 90 minutes to spare to ref the game. Some of the so called ref's we have had lately are beyond belief.

Yesterday's ref got so many decisions wrong, I think he must also have devised the euros ticketing purchase system.

I really despise Simon Hooper. A shocking ref! This is the man who didn’t give two stonewall pens when he was VAR ref for Liverpool v Southampton. So it’s no surprise he didn’t give us a penalty yesterday. He’s been our ref twice in recent games and has been piss poor in both. Hopefully he won’t be refereeing again for us again anytime soon.

He lifted his whistle half way all afternoon, got on my tits coz you would be expecting him to blow , don’t think he could see further than his belly if I’m honest
