MY VIEW " CARDIFF CITY FOUGHT HARD BUT COULD NOT "

Cardiff City tried to fight back tonight after going a goal down at home to Forest but couldn't get the equalising goal

They just fell short and it was another defeat, despite plenty of attempts on goal

Neil Harris made three changes with Dion Sanderson, Junior Hoilett and Robert Glatzel coming in

Nottingham Forest are fighting for automatic promotion this season

It was an even first half with chances for both sides but neither could find the breakthrough.

Forest took the lead early in the second half through Tiago Silva

Cardiff tried to bounce back but couldn't get the goal they needed

Glatzel came very close late on

Cardiff 0-1 Forest

Piss poor again. Can't get a decent ball into the box from open play, corners or free kicks. What the f**k does Harris have them do on the training pitch!

Forest got the goal and basically stop us getting anywhere near an equaliser. They should have won the game by alot more goals.

Shocking yet again, seem to be saying this every game.
What has really changed since harris has come here?

Absolutely no quality in the final third whatsoever

Poor cross after poor cross.. it’s getting boring now our wingers just not doing it game after game

Glad to read a less "tragic" view on the game, the stats show it was a pretty even game, we just couldn't find that elusive equaliser :( a little galling as the 3 above us also lost,or were losing last time I checked :sad7: :old: :bluebird:

Draw was probably fair result tonight.

Their keeper made some good saves.

Missing that killer edge without Tomlin.

Lack of quality tonight. But no lack of effort. The lads tried but could not break them down. Dunno what Pato and Bacunas beef was at the end, but no need for it.

Fought hard? Second best all over the park until we went one down. It's not good enough at home. What's worrying me is there is no passion or urgency in this team and no real change in the pattern of play. Tomlin has masked the reality with his individual performances recently. This team does need a clear out and new blood but do we trust Harris with that? I am really unconvinced.

Glatzel worked his socks off, probably man of the match for city, he's given no help whatsoever as all through the game we wasted cross after cross, too low, too far, too high, straight out - it was bloody appalling.

Big clear out in the summer please, at least 7 of those who started tonight and 6 or 7 others. How can you earn 5 figures per week and repeatedly week after week fail to pass straight or cross a ball even when not under pressure - bring in performance pay - they'd be earning feck all!

Been saying it all season with tomlin hes covered for a pretty average team without him we are nothing

Bloody terrible. Bennett, Pack, Vaulks, Hoilett, Murphy and Paterson all fecking dreadful. 3/4 of this team need to be kicked out, they cant even make a simple fecking pass ffs. And why can't any of them cross either? Hits first man every time. What a shower of shite. Rant over :banghead:

First game I've watched for a while due to work and it was awful. Incomplete passes and a stand off defence. Alot of work required for next season.

Forest fully deserved the win. They took the big chance we didn't.
To be honest I can't remember their keeper making a save other than a long distance from Glatzel which was going wide anyway.

I agree . But not slagging off the team is not popular on here. We lack creativity up front without Tomlin. We are quite a good team but lack the talented individuals that Forest had. However, it’s not the doom and gloom that people here make out.

Nothing to dissect from that performance it was pure garbage from the first whistle.

My god we are in for one next season.

Players fighting after the game (Yes not exactly a ‘fight’) but a clear indication of a fractured dressing room.

What a mess and we are stuck with a manager who has changed nothing.

We have had less passes in final third since Harris took over than we did under Neil Warnock this season. That’s not progress its utter garbage.

I thought Forest deserved their win, because the only real save their keeper had to make was from Glatzel, and that was probably going wide. I thought Vaulks had a decent game but the big difference for me, was the speed that Forest got the ball under control and moved it forward, There seemed to be a lot of chances for our players to bring the ball under control, but no one speaks to each other or possibly, they don’t have the confidence in their own ability to do so. I thought Sanderson looked good going forward but probably tired towards the end. I couldn’t see the penalty incident as it was at the the other end of the pitch but that could have made a difference.

Irrespective of his performance, I thought the sarcastic cheer when Murphy went off was bang out of order. I’ve since been told he left the pitch in tears and in the modern day where mental health is at the forefront and finally getting the respect it deserves, this seemed like a step back to the dark ages.

Football aside, he’s a human being with feelings and no one should be made to feel like that after a day at work.

Tonight provided a great example as he put in a terrible cross which ricocheted back to him and it was met with loud abuse and booing from the crowd. Subsequently, he whips in a great ball and silence, no one shouts well done or applauds. Some of our fickle fans have to learn to take the rough with the smooth and are quite frankly a disgrace.

changed nothing...are you kidding...Warnock was all about get the ball in the final 1/3 rd and attack...who the f@@ ever walked out of a ground saying I know we lost but I really enjoyed the pedestrian passing..? shots, corners, touches in opposition box for me..fck this negative ball that mediocre teams play.. Murphy lost the ball on the half way line...1 nil...what the fck is he doing dribbling in his own half to start with...playing ultra negativeball that's what..

Forest only had one shot on target, they created nothing, a few breaks and that includes their goal.

Ref should have booked a few in the first half alone, and certainly more than just Ameobi.

Penalties not given ?

A different ref = a different result and a different set of comments ?

Still only a couple of good results off the play offs.

Exatly theres people still saying teams doing well I really dont see it myself I dont think anythings changed at all yes we have lost tomlin but again today showed that we are awful without him and he has carried a very poor side

I am not sure we want to change though. As soon as we keep possession by sometimes passing it back to the keeper and don't whack it 40 yard upfield in hope of a mistake the crown especially the Canton sigh and groan.....

Its a team with no identity. Players bought and drilled to play a certain way trying something else. I'll never understand why Harris thinks Murphy is a 442 midfielder he isn't. He is a prancy forward like it or not. Tonight i saw the most perfect two bank of four since Lenny Lawrence. We are playing Lenny era formations in today's highly analysed technical days. But at least Lenny had player to play that way, Harris doesn't.

Malky and Warnock were hero worshipped but played low risk, low technicality stuff but very very well. We never moaned, not even once.

The crowd are not daft, this feels like the Slade era, the attendance, the atmosphere its deja vu.

Murphy did not play well tonight, but had scored 2 goals recently. He did not deserve the abuse some people were screaming at him. Get a grip!

Murphy did not deserve abuse.

But the crowd are turning. Never mind this board - the attending fans are in the majority disillusioned with Harris I would say he has little support because no one can see what he is looking to bring to the squad.
