The stone wall penalty on Murphy was bad enough, but for Paterson to be given offside when the Forest player headed the ball was a new one to me! How do these clowns manage to progress up to championship level? With the likes of Simon Hooper somehow making the Premier League, it makes me wonder if the officials performances get analysed at all?

At least VAR is used at Premiership level to spot these mistakes, like Lo Celso stamping on his opponent for a straight red or Bournemouth's goal at Burnley getting awarded as the ball clearly came of his shoulder, not his arm...oh wait a minute!

Second half had a goal six substitutions. That's three and a half minutes of injury time just for that. Smithies and Bennett had the trainer on and Forrests time wasting was horrific. There should have been at least seven minutes.

He certainly was shit tonight.

Every time he’s reffed us he’s been fecking useless. Why he never gave us that pen I don’t know? He’ll probably be in the Prem soon with that other cretin Simon Hooper.

He was in totally the wrong position for the penalty. You could see he had no chance of making the correct call from that angle so there was no way was he going to give it. He made some very strange decisions last night for both teams and is clearly one of the poorest of the bunch of young referees coming through. And to top it all he’s probably going to be a premier league referee next season. Thank fcuk we won’t be seeing much of him again anytime soon!

Very poor ref, how forest didn't have a couple of bookings in the first half i really don't know. the amount of fouls they committed was ridiculous

I normally try to stick up for referees and look at from an officials point of view.

Sometimes it's just too difficult to do so.
