Hello fellow bluebirds I am a Cardiff city fan based in sunny Scotland after years of waiting I am finally attending my first ever Cardiff game. I have a 13 hour bus jounrney through the night on Friday to arrive at 11.30 on Saturday morning. Was looking for advice on wear to go pre and post match so I can soak in the proper fan experience. Travelling on my own. Hopefully first of many trips now

I’m assuming it’s the Brentford game at the end of the month.
The Canton area of Cardiff is pretty decent for pubs pre-match, but post match I’d recommend the city centre.

Welcome aboard fellow bluebird. Yes as previous poster mentioned canton is decent. Wetherspoons and plenty pubs down there within walking distance of ground

13 hour journey through the night.. I take my hat off to you
As already mentioned numerous pubs in Csnton pre match then probably City centre afterwards is your best bet
Safe journey and enjoy the game

Welcome Scottishbluebird.
Welsh connections? Why us? How did it start?
As a local man and with a ccfc dad my years of torment interspersed with the odd highlight thrown in have been laid out for me.
Are you sure this is what you want and are you doing it of your own free will? Help can be arranged if its not too late.

Wonder how that city fan from Montana USA (mentioned in the paper) enjoyed his first city game last night?
Hope our Scottish newbie fares better on Saturday but....

I drove up to Ayr in roughly 2002 to watch City in a pre season friendly at Somerset Park. We won 3-0 and I drove straight back after the game! Got home about 6am and then got a morning flight to Majorca! Missed the first 2 days of the holiday through sleeping!

Used to drive to Ibrox and back in a day, went to over twenty games one season. Too old to do it now and too many speed cameras.

My wee fella was down for this one too, his mum dropped him as they were visiting her brother who stays on Treforest. He's 13 and first time he's been down CCS without me in tow!
13 hours on the overnight train from Aberdeen via London on Friday night, going home via Crew today. Absolutely loved it as always. Poor lad.

Excellent. Standard of referee truly atrocious. Though Vaulks should have been given red was the one in our favour.
