to be honest its realy doubtfull we wont get one on a free transfer and surely we are at the limit on signing loan players and cant see us splashing the clash just have to put up with hudson

koumas bellamy olofinjana drinkwater naylor basically any transfers he was right (weeks before)
aslo told us weeks before we had a problem with the tax bills
and also said months before that TG and co buying into are club

HE has also said there has been more potential investment due to the main fact bellamy has signed.
and he has said there will be a big name signing, but alot of things can backfire i believe that they are in talks but we will have to see.

Sorry mate but you are mistaken, I have never said there will be a signing today nor have I said there will be a big name signing.

It was Annis (not Carl) that said a few days ago, that if Loovens turned us down, then we were ready to swoop for another big name centre half, but no date was ever mentioned.

With Jones wanting to ship Gerrard out I cannot believe that he sees Blake as a regular Centre Half. This would leave us with no cover. Center Halves are usualy the first the be suspended for yellow cards and picking up long term injuries. Although Jones was responsible for not replacing Scimeca when he was injured and which cost us promotion IMO I cannot believe he'd be so remiss in leaving us without cover in such an important position. It's bad enough that we only have second rate players in those positions.

I have faith in Jones on this.

Its OBVIOUS we are desperately in need of a strong Central defender (if not two!!)

We cannot just expect to win games 5-4

There are going to be plenty of occasions this season where the opposition do a job
on our strikers, stifle our midfield and put us under intense pressure. Thats when the
defence will come under most pressure. Hudson does not thrive on that, he bottles it.

Dave Jones has done too much over the last few weeks to leave anything to chance.
Hudson is a BIG risk, unless he has quality alongside him

Hope its a centre half. Gabbidon seems the popular rumour at the moment. If he is fit I would prefer him to all our current options.

If the club can get a decent centre half and back up for Jay we will have a great chance for promotion this season. Provding that is, we dont flog whitts, burke or god forbid Jay.
