Does anyone know the real reason Bennett was hauled off at half time ??

I watched Harris post match interview last night and think a few words may have been said. By the response Harris give when questioned about it. He’s said I took him off because ‘I’m the manager and make strong decisions’ and swiftly moved on to the next question. He was asked to elaborate again on it later in the interview. To which he said ‘sometimes you have to make decisions at stages of games or moments in changing rooms’
So it seems there could have been something said which made that decision happen.

Not suprised he didn’t appear second half,
He appeared to be sulking when Tomlin and MUrphy were taking the free kicked, throwing his arms up on the air and looked to be mouthing off..
For some reason, he not at the races this season, poor positioning, easily drawn out of position.. whether things going on in his head but he just not the Bennett of before.
Maybe time for him to have a break, regroup his mind and come back stronger.. wouldn’t be suprised to see him move in summer.

He was awful yesterday and was constantly out of position.
Was not surprised he was taken off, the only strange thing was the substitutions he chose to go with

He's been constantly out of position for the last three seasons!

"He's been constantly out of position for the last three seasons!"
What an absolutely ludicrous statement.

Have you actually watched him? Obviously not very much as he's all over the place during games and so many goals originate from his side of the pitch, the latest example being the first Wigan goal yesterday.

When we were asleep? Pretty Sure that was not JBs fault.

Jazz was the full back who failed to stop the cross for the opening goal.
In the left back position when he was playing RB?

Bennett has been poor for some time. He gets done on both inside and outside. Shame but time for a change. This wake up call may get him back to his best.

If Murphy is playing in front of him, he gets little or no help. Ideally someone like Peltier would have been better playing behind JM as he was more of a defensive full back, but wrong side of the pitch.

Spot on.
It was obvious from the first whistle that Wigan were targeting our left as they knew Murphy wouldn't track back. Time and again Bennett was left with two players running at him.
Maybe Bennett was a bit too vocal in the dressing room but it's a fair bet we'll never know the full story !!

Have to agree with you. I don't understand the love in with Bennett.

He said himself he wanted competition, he's been average at best.
Mon Feb 17, 2020 8:21 pm
Strange one with Bennett,it’s almost rare nowadays to find fullbacks that can really defend and bomb forward delivery crosses etc,you get one aspect but rarely both,it’s down to the manager which one of the two he prefers.

Harris has put his arm around two players Tomlin and Murphy to give them confidence to play but has shown his other side with Peltier and perhaps Bennett that his is the boss and given them a kick up the arse!
