RIP Bluebird

Sadly on Thursday we lost a lifelong Bluebird. My brother-in-law Steve Smith from Cwmbran had a heart attack at 57 while on his way to work. He took me to my first City game in the late 80’s and used to tell me stories about following City all over the country. I remember him telling me about Portsmouth away and the car they had driven down in being on its roof when they got back to it after the game! He had lots of books about City back in the day and would point himself out in pictures as he was at every game.
He was a fantastic bloke, I’m glad I got to go to Wembley with him and get him tickets to both games when we got promoted to the Premier League. He leaves his wife, 4 girls,13 grandkids and other family devastated, but also feeling lucky to have known him. RIP Steve mate.x
