You can't ignore it

The fans are falling out of love with Cardiff City.

I'm 32 and have been a season ticket holder since the Minoan park days, so have my friends. Now we are all having kids and priorities take over. We are all still season ticket holders but for how long?

The football we have now will lose 2 of us I can guarantee that!

I'm not just saying this from a personal perspective but think of this. There are many more of the 2008 F.A cup final fans who are of Equal age. That is when the fan base boomed. They're going to slip away and if we continue the style we play I can guarantee next season we will have less that 16,000 season tickets sold.

We do not play and have not played attractive football for years! Coupled with this you can now watch (if you're savvy enough) every City game on IPTV. So where do we go from here because I see a massive fall unless we have a vision apart from the club saying " we need to cut back, trim the wage bill, wait for the sala saga to end, wait for Sam hammam to stop trying to sue us""

It might be a long road back this time.

I've heard fans say same I'm older generation again early 90s season ticket holder for near 20 years this is the first season when I've chose not to go to games and the real sad thing is I haven't felt bad about not going never thought I'd feel like that and it's not down to the foot all for me it's the general atmos at the club it's just not good had a discussion with someone a few weeks back the response I had back was well if you dont like it go and follow swansea lol

I agree its not all about the sexy football etc because even teams like liverpool etc havent always played exciting ways, that is just how times go, but i agree the atmosphere around the club is so different and quite nasty at times, when i started supportimg in 1994, we wasnt the best of teams etc but the fans stuck together, and i generally believe the old boys as you would call them now still do stick together, but there is a generation now that have only seen good times and believe it all not it still is good times, minute something goes wrong they jump down everyone throats and start acting hard etc. As i say everyone gets at each other now and its not going to change for a long time i feel
