So, the biggest inclusion appears to be young Joel Bagan at left back and what great reward for a player who has shined for the under-23s this season.

The 18-year-old left back, formerly of Southampton, has been training a lot with the first team and, given City have just signed Brad Smith, might have thought his chance would never come.

But, credit to Neil Harris, he’s placed his faith in youth and everyone will be wishing Joel all the best.

Elsewhere, Neil Etheridge is recalled to the side for his first start since QPR on New Year’s Day, replacing Alex Smithies, who drops to the bench following his run between the sticks.

It also appears City might well be employing a 4-4-2 system, with Danny Ward seemingly partnering Robert Glatzel up top - it will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Youngsters Tom Sang, Sam Bowen and 17-year-old Ntazana Mayembe are all named on the bench also.

Allan, Neil Harris is rotating his squad and say over 6 games you will find other than now Neil Etheridge(fall out) they will all either start or be on the bench of a first team again.

What’s the Reading team like, I don’t know much about them so couldn’t tell you if it’s a strong team or not ?

Reading look to have the strongest team out, I thought Tomlin and Bacuna would be on the bench in case we need to win it late?

The team he has put out today is most of the players not currently making the starting eleven.

They are part of the first team squad but by no means is our strongest starting eleven
