CCFC FANS ONLY

I feel driven to start this thread, due to it becoming increasingly difficult to engage in the conversation due to the constant drivel of a certain person,who at least 95% off members wish would disappear. However, he has made it abundantly clear this is not likely to happen!

I for one, am getting fed up of the monotony of trying to find which username to ignore and when he is put on ignore posters copy and paste his posts to their reply to him, thus making some of his posts visible to those who have chosen to put him on ignore, so defeating the object having him on ignore in the first place!

Can I ask fellow posters who have it on ignore (as soon as we realise it's him ) does it piss you off the same way?

Because unless the topic headline says for CCFC fans only (he then has no reason to involve himself ) he will infest any topic he chooses to

Just me blowing off steam but I cannot be alone in feeling he is a negative we could do without. IMHO, he spoils so many threads, usually arguing with the usual posters who I wish could do the same as a lot of us (I learnt !) and stop feeding the loon. Just completely ignore him and let those posters who wish to engage with it do so, preferably in a thread dedicated to them,so leaving us to engage in more meaningful threads without them decending into nonsense

I'm not saying ban him, as he has proved that is a pointless enterprise

IMHO, certain threads should be for CCFC fans only, whilst others should be open to all. Just a thought as to how we could avoid future topics going off the rails, as they start off good but then the inevitable happens. It's like Groundhog Day on here lately

Unfortunately deleting and locking is only cause of action mods can take as banning him doesn't work as you know.. best way to stop him is to keep say something he wont respond to end he leaves you alone in that thread I dont mean insults either! just tell him he is wrong in your opinion and nothing you post will change that keep repeating
until he stops or simply dont respond again.

I am compelled to ask,is anyone else fed up of a certain poster (and his cohorts!! ) continually bickering? I had one run in that was enough?!! For me the forum gets harder to read on a daily basis! Threads constantly ruined,by him and his followers arguing back and forth, the constant need to read topics,to check if it has poked it's head in under another name!!! I feel we should have certain topics that are for us city fans only, this way we can ask him politely to go forth and multiply, as he is not a ccfc fan,therefore his opinion on these topics are irrelevant,another gripe is,that although it's easy enough (his mo is obvious)to place him on ignore,posters paste what he has said,in their reply to him,can posters who wish to engage just start their replies with ROATHY? Or his current username,or even better,give him his own thread, then those of us who would rather not see ANY of his posts,can simply avoid that thread, and those that wish to converse? With him can,and they can argue till the proverbials come home it's dragging this forum downwards (apart from hits maybe?) And it's getting monotonous beyond at times.just a suggestion towards maybe a better read for those who have seen the light,and deceased taken part in his game.

I get your point,but I posted a while ago,with the same banner header,and believe it or not,last time I looked,he stayed away from it,haven't checked if it's still on,it was the mood thread,as you must have seen,I have simply refused to talk with it,I work at Holme towers 2 nights a week,and the people I meet there interest me far,far more,it's the keeping up with the use names that's a chore,and having to see his posts,regardless of him being on ignore and as you know,whatever you say,he comes back with half,of what was said originally,to further his argument, I get your hard to ignore statement though,I've had to bite my tongue,many many times

I do ignore him! It's other people that cannot resist responding,that's my gripe,as it makes him visible from time to time!

Agreed. Everybody ignore him no matter what and he will go away, although I do enjoy reading the arguments between him and anyone who responds to him.
I personally only responded to him once but learned my lesson never again

A few clowns on here even accused me of being him!!! For gods sake they are clueless. They can’t stand hearing the truth so accuse me of being that jack. What I said about the hypocrisy of our so called fans being up in arms about the Reading fans, stewards and club but still loudly sing that god awful, disgusting, pathetic version of hymns & arias about incest and paedophilia is something they don’t want to hear and it most cases are too bloody thick to understand.

Louis, that’s exactly what I posted yesterday and again earlier today but you’re one of the posters that respond to him.

It is really not that difficult. Just completely ignore his posts even if you can see them or if he responds to you. I may respond to him every now and again but I don't get into these pointless conversations that go on for pages at a time. I made the point of replying 'obsessed' to posts he made that were not swansea related for a while- as he often claims he is on here to dispel swansea 'myths' created on this forum , which clearly is not true given how many threads he is in.

Also, I do not complain about him being on the forum in one thread just to get into a pointless discussion with him in another, as many people are doing. People need to totally ignore him. If they do want to 'debate' with him they can't complain about him being on here if they do. It is destroying the forum at the moment more than usual which, like you have done, I am pointing out that people need to stop replying/moaning about him.

I know this might sound draconian but I would make the 1st 25 - 50 posts of any new member subject to clearance by the mods.

Firstly he would hate not having his instant gratification and secondly he might actually realise his time is up.....just a thought!

If everyone puts him on ignore he becomes irrelevant. You will only see his posts if you reply. Have a sticky post at top of page with his user names and everyone put on ignore when he pops up.

I think most of us have had a crossing of paths with it,I did note a bit of advice from allan,"ignore him,but don't use insults"(shortened version,then read a fewhile other threads,and pissed myself,no insults allan? A lot of forums have this kind of rule for new members. He'll be easy to spot, even if he attempts to 'toe-the-line' and post non-negative stuff about CCFC related matters in order to get through the probation period - how?... well, he'll put nowhere near the amount of effort into creating posts that don't really express his deep lying inner craving of posting negative content. So, his initial posts during the probation period will be very short and without any real meaningful content, until he can try and surpass the newbie post count cut-off quota...easy for a mod to spot, you'd think.

He has obvious serious issues and adds no value to this site whatsoever.

He has a definite MO and is recognised almost instantly. He should be shut down as soon as the fruitcake shows his head, and his posts deleted. The fact that what he posts (under his many guises) stays in the threads gives him satisfaction.
Let him show himself and delete away.

I recognise the idea has flaws. I recognise the commercial aspect too. It would simply be a short term reprieve and a week without the distraction woukd be worth it in my book. I'm pretty disillusioned with it spoiling so many otherwise decent threads and I'm sure there are those lost to the forum altogether by the sideshow.
