New signing Brad Smith is the first Australian international to play for Cardiff City since Tony Vidmar, who made 81 appearances for the club from 2003-2005.

Before Tony Vidmar we also had the wonderful Adrian Alston back in !975 - 1976 seasons who was matched up with Tony Evans. If only we had those two now.

That was a class double act, like you say, if only we had two like that now.

I remember he nearly scored the quickest goal ever when from the half way line at the kick off against Brighton. Caught the keeper napping but it was just wide. It was even on Match of the Day, in the good old days when the BBC would cover a game in the lower leagues if it was a top of the table clash
