Harris-FairPlay

Say what you like about Harris unlike previous Managers he had the balls to make two changes at halftime. Whyte and Hoilett were both shocking once again. Sorry the boy Whyte is second division at best and Hoilett’s legs have gone.

Solskjaer used to make changes in the first half sometimes.

So we could field a team with three players whose legs have gone.

Messrs Pack, Hoilett and Adomah.

Was a great move putting Bacuna out wide aswell, I maintain Harris is doing a very good job with the slightly Stale squad he inherited

I'd say we were worse under warnock teams not strong enough

Whilst it was a poor 1st half you cannot legislate for poor defending costing goals? Again tonight player left alone 6yrds out with two defenders nearby gdoing nothing! It wasnt hard to defend against, a simple challenge would been sufficient to stop header going goalwards and the game would have been different story. 2nd half he changed shape and we were better for it but still lack killer instinct required to win matches, unfortunately city player got in way of certain goal and Tomlin slipped when going to score such are fine margins in football.

Have to agree,a few fresh faces around could be good, maybe force certain players to up their game? As much as Harris hands are tied (not his choice of players already here) since he came in, in November NO championship team has lost fewer games!! I know people say the football is crap, certain players are crap, the managers crap etc etc, it's not as bad as it seems, well to me anyway..just watched the Brad smith interview, seems a decent lad, wants to be here, and wants to push on for the play offs,I for one am glad that some dead wood has been cut loose, but there are more to go imo, before the summer, and then I will maybe judge Harris, when he has more of his players in the 1st team at least.we need a winger who can deliver a good quality ball, adohma can do that, and I know people moan about his age,but it's a loan till end of season,I'd rather he kept any money available for rebuilding work needed, than blow big fee and wages to find that it hasn't worked anyway! I read someone quoting they wouldn't give Harris money to spend, based on what exactly, I don't know :? We all know Warnock couldnt spend large sums wisely, but if Harris doesn't get given money, the team will largely remain the same as it is,slow, ageing and one dimensional,we looked better in a diamond wnd half to me. :old: :bluebird:

Agree llantwit blue .junior frustrating can score good goals but can go missing too often Whyte hasn't got it .

A match fit striker would have had a few last night, thought we deserved all 3 points, unlucky moments in front of goal, Harris needs a good summer to shift some of those out the door as personally I think some are just collecting their wages.

Any news on those scum from Reading?

Definitely. He has switched things around a few times early on. Which to me suggests that he has plan B. Something I felt warnock never had. He would make changes but would be like for like player/position wise. I thought the 4 man diamond 2nd half looked good and we seemed to rip them to shreds many times but couldn't get that final ball or killer instinct. But I also give harris praise for the switch

Want to see what transpires in the summer when Harris can hopefully get the players he wants and get them playing to the style he wants. Could be an interesting next season. Or not if the club higherarcy don't back him.

Warming to him

You can only piss with the
Prick you have.

Players inherited
Too big and sloppy squad
No money....

I think it was a good window

Agree. However Hoilett is 29. Bit young to lose your pace

Agree with this Eddie. We needed change and now he needs time. More players will go in the summer when it is easier to bring players in.

Too many draws, every body knows that but two defeats in 17 is not to be sniffed at. I thought we were far superior to Reading all night but we lack that little bit of quality in certain areas that turns a point into a 2-1 win.

I believe getting rid of Pelts at 33 is no bad thing despite his consistency, it also freed up in the region of £300k in wages between now and the end of the season and we've brought in a bit of youth and pace to bolster the ranks in the full back positions. Adomah gives us something different in a more attacking sense.

Re: Harris-FairPlay

I think it was a good window could of done with another striker but the two full backs are attacking pacey wing back types ,in the 2nd half the system we played will allow the full backs to get more forward hopefully providing more service for the strikers ,adomah is a good championship winger too ,got rid of some dead wood too ,I think Harris is doing a good job only lost 2 games in 14 now not a bad record we are hard to beat

I felt west brom was a good 90 mins especially considering their league position

Harris is getting out coached game after game !!!!!

Out first half performances are now a trend, you can not ignore this. Yes he saves them in the second half with a draws :? But why are we in this position. I can't recall in recent times us going behind so often.

Ole is the same at Man United. Sets up poorly, then with much bigger resources makes draw saving changes.

Harris is not up to it, but smile and carry on, i'll still buy my season ticket for nest season :bluescarf:
