Tan keeping is hands out of his pocket s

Fri Jan 31, 2020 6:24 pm

I guess by looking at the players we have signed and the ones we have let go Tan is looking at balancing the books.

So is our future one of signing lower league players and championship players coming to the end of their career?

No more of Tan funding big signings.

Will have to wait on summer window! Think 1.5m is highest fee so far in this championship
window...

Thanks to tan our debt is coming down and being converted, we are stable and to be fair he’s backed Warnock with many millions. It is the same squad Warnock left, and according to Warnock it is a strong squad. Tan trusted Warnock so probably of the belief it doesn’t need more millions spent on it. Harris is happy (in the main) with it and is having a clear out, and to be fair his record isn’t that bad. Add ffp and all the crap we have to live by, I’d say tan is backing us.

I personally think we needed a creative midfield general, however players do seem to be reacting to Harris so let’s just see what happens tonight before window closes.

Who can blame him, our form and current position hardly justifies a large spend to chase a very unlikely promotion?

If win tonight by 2 go to 8th! Never know if any signings will give team boost it needs to get into top 6 not impossible that's for sure.

Transfer market I expected all loans would have been gobsmacked if we paid a fee thing is not a million miles off play offs mayb it would have been a bit ambition to spend a bit and push on but in all honesty not shocked

I think I read 32m spent this window by Championship clubs.

24m of that by Fulham.

If Tan is balancing the books he's done a pretty decent job. The outs aren't really going to affect us. Only Pelts anywhere near the team. The ins, well, we wait and see. Worst case scenario is we carry on as we are.

Granted, but top 6 is a lottery as we well know. I just can't see enough quality or consistency in our performances, for us to go on a long winning run

Nah

Luke, I don't know what he's on; but I am confident he will be on a lot less than Neil Warnock and will be more easily dispensed of when/if the time is right

I still think he was the wrong choice but (like Slade) he hasn't exactly made a major hash of it to date, so I suspect the club (nee Tan) will give him a little leeway before the plug is pulled

Virtually impossible for us to reach the play offs, the gap is now 7 points.
2 points a game for the rest of the season to reach 75 points.

yep.. i still had hope before Fridays game but the draw followed by yesterdays results have all but ended it.
people keep saying 3 wins on the bounce but I think it would now take 4 which doesn't seem like happening.

My crystal ball  thinks next season we will start slowly, a bit like Millwall this season and he will be sacked.

Our current form table puts us at 11th with 9pts from the last 6 games, bang average.
Luton are currently bottom on 3 points.
We all know whats coming saturday.
