When I left earlier today we had 42 points.
After a 5 game win streak beating Reading, Luton, Charlton, Huddersfield and Stoke we drew the next 2 games at Forest and Brentford. Barnsley saw us back to winning ways.
A well deserved draw with Leeds and unlucky draw with Brum kept the momentum going. Sadly Fulham scrapped a win. A winning 3 game run saw us overturning Derby, Borough and a tumultuous final day win against Hull has seen us return to the Promised Land. C'mon City!!

Being that its reading, luton wigan huddesfield and stoke next 5 that cant be true, and the fact we play forest and brentford at home and not at theres cant be true we get points at there places in those 2 games either, we haven't got Birmingham left either so with that 76 points doesn't look likely with your run of games

What position will we finish if we achieve 76 points. Obviously not top two, but will it be enough to guarantee a play off place. I know that there have been previous seasons where that total was not enough for the play offs, but have no idea how the table stood after 29 games during those seasons.

76 would easily see you in this year IMO given how poor the big teams are doing.
It’s usually 10 points from every 6 games roughly that’s needed for playoffs so if we beat Reading then we are only 5 points behind where we need to be but with a good run of games coining up to make up the difference. The league seems the weakest it’s been a good while this year.

It should do. At the moment working on the averages so far this season, the teams currently in 5th and 6th positions will finish on 73 or 74 points. Looks like we need to average 2 points per game to reach the play offs. We are currently averaging 1.45 points so need to improve. Of course, these figures are all very well on paper, but as we know things don't always stay the same. Teams could suddenly go on an excellent run, or suffer a string of unexpected defeats. I still think my calculations won't be a million miles away, and I have a feeling 75 or 76 points is what will be needed. Can certainly be done, but not without improving on our form so far this season.
