Paterson & Ward is enough. We need wingers more.

With Danny Ward who seems likely to score every time he plays and coming back into the team soon and Paterson in my opinion the perfect striker for us who is showing a bit of form now too. I think we need 1 or 2 wingers more than any other position really. We don’t have any wingers currently on form, and no wingers who have staked a claim to start any games this season, with the exception of Mendez-Laing who is unfortunately injured for the remainder of the season now. But Hoilett for me just doesn’t seem to be able to do anything I’m recent weeks, Whyte a lot of effort and signs of quality, but no end product yet, Murphy the most inconsistent player in our squad. I really think 1 or 2 gambles on the wing on loan would be ideal for us. I don’t think we should be looking at a striker for the rest of this season, it’s the wings we need improving more.

Tend to agree, how can you drop Patterson as a no 9 after last nights showing.

Ward,bogle,glatzel all not good enough. That leaves us with one converted right back to striker as our only decent option going forward. Paterson is our best option at the moment but we definitely need to sign a quality natural striker who knows how to find the back of the net if we want to improve as a team. Even if its competition to get the shirt off paterson

Great shout, ollie watkins has turned into a great striker this season after being a winger. Murphy is a decent finisher worth a try

Agree Patterson, Ward and Glatzel is adequate we need more creativity either on the wing or in the middle. Tomlinson is fantastic but we need more than one player who can change a game.

He’s not a striker. He’s a winger and when he’s running at players an taking them on he’s one of the best wingers in this division.
