FAO Neil Harris you disgrace!

Sun Jan 26, 2020 10:34 am

Work very hard to get racism and homophobia out of our club do we? Have a problem do we?

How dare you describe us in the same bracket as the Millwall scum you served for so many years!

I didn’t think much of you before that statement... personally I think you’re not what our club needs.... but following your acceptance that we have a racism problem without any facts I am counting down the time until you are gone and simply another passenger through the club I proudly support.

Disagree. What he said doesn't feel right but it's all he could say. If he backed our fans and it turned out he was wrong then he would be all over the media then. People look for a reason to call someone racist these days and they would have taken harris words out of context had he said anything different.
He was put on the spot. Feel for him

Neil Harris: ‘Myself and all at the club were very shocked and surprised. I’ve not witnessed anything like that since I’ve been here and speaking to some of the staff that have been here a lot longer they can’t recall any similar incidents. I don’t know any details so we will await what is said but of course if there has been any racist or homophobic chanting we don’t support that’

Re: FAO Neil Harris you disgrace!

The above is a fake quote of course but shows he could have said a lot of different things without suggesting we are guilty

Give it a f@cking rest barry ffs! I'm sorry but it's fans like you, that are a disgrace, with your constant bile around certain players, your blatant hate of the manager etc etc, your negativity knows no bounds,WTF did you expect him to say,he was placed in a position by the media, when the real culprits were reading fc,for announcing during the match the nonsense that has been put to bed already,no arrests, and no further investigation says all I need to hear  but yeah its the managers fault (again) :sleepy2: :old: :bluebird:

4 apparently arrested so if NH said didn't hear anything then be asking why didn't he? Shouldn't be using this story as excuse to bash him you do enough of that on every post he is quoted on? this is about the fans not NH.

he wasn't forced to say that garbage about how hard the club are working behind the scenes.. or is there an anti racism programme run by the club that only these defending him have been on or heard about .?

I agree Harris is a disgrace. He should have kept his mouth shut. Pity we couldn’t get rid of him in the January’s transfer window.

Come on,with the current climate around homophobic/racist behaviour, and he was supposed to say what exactly? No,we don't do anything as a club to stop/curb such behaviour! ! Yeah that would have sorted it,it's his job to say the right thing,ie" we as a club work hard behind the scenes" imo is far better than saying nothing,ALL clubs have a duty to curb/stop this kind of behaviour, not sweep it under the carpet.I know nothing has been proved 100% yet,and innocent until told otherwise, but what if somebody is charged? Would it look worse on the club,if he had said "it doesn't exist at this club" the press/media would have a field day,not that they all ready ain't! ! I'm surprised if it is proven against a person, that he wasn't ejected by the fans around him,and I know somebody will reply long the "grass" lines, but if a supporter is indeed charged with an offence(racism) and found guilty, it means he must think the same about or players too eh?? Time will make it clearer what,if anything was indeed shouted at all or not. :old: :bluebird:

That, and the one above ,my take? I wish we could offload some of our supporters in january "the club I proudly support" really? Can't seem to find the posts where you actually support the club you love on here of late???? WTF! If someone then gets charged ,what then? Look like a complete tool by saying what you idiots want"it doesn't exist at this club"making the club look even worse! It's pretty obvious he had to use protocols dictated by fifa surrounding racist/homophobic abuse, wait until everything has been decided around charges if any, before using it as another tool to beat the manager with. :sleepy2: :old: :bluebird:

Every football club in pyramid system have an ongoing racial awareness group or scheme that goes into schools ect ect to make kids aware of racism so club is working to stop racism! This is what NH is referring to in his quote.... but will say it doesn't come across very well but people should realise what he is saying without having needing to slag him off . :old:

no it really doesn't come across very well …. that's putting it mildly.
was ill thought out at best and will do nothing endearing to our fans
and it shouldn't be thrown into the other complaints, moans re NH. what he said yesterday has zero to do with his tactics. team selection or his lack of charisma.
it was a crap thing to say if your NH , pep, Klopp , vince alm or anyone else.

Yes think he needs to have a press officer to advise him as he seems to lack the skills or its simply hes not use to such high profile post and it shows! As to other point it's been going on for ages now same people same garbage about NH regardless of what is saying and he as been slagged off because he didn't say anything on a subject which is rediculas in extreme, And if you defend him you are called names by them forum at moment is not good .. :o

My point was,it's what he has to say really, not that the club ARE working on these issues, imo he just said what the press wanted to hear? It's not like he's going to say the club does nothing about the issues at all!! So I don't need to point you to any evidence of it actually taking place behind the scenes.I'm just voicing an opinion just like you dogfound,I believe it was better than looking a tit if charges are brought against anyone! And the club made to look like they are liars. :old: :bluebird:

how on earth does he look a tit for not hearing something ? he certainly looks one now and has done himself no favours what so ever with many of our fans. best policy is always the truth mate not repeating some sound bite that you heard someone else say in totally different circumstances and was inappropriate in this case..
personally im very proud of our club and our supporters ,who were here before Harris and will be here long after he has gone..so im pretty peed off with everything that happened yesterday..
and I expect our manager to be on our side...not lie for us . not hide the truth. but certainly not come out with what implies we have a problem.. he clearly didn't hear anything because nobody did.. so just say that. or say nothing
far to many people wanting to be seen to be doing the right thing instead of actually doing the right thing yesterday starting with the imbecile who decided that an announcement was necessary because 4 people were { as it turns out they were not racist or homophobic } chanting abuse .

And also,it would be impossible to stop a person shouting racist/homophobic abuse, but All clubs have strategies in place to try and tackle the problem, to eradicate it,is like saying we are going to stop single acts of terrorism, the human race always finds a way around any obstacles,so it's the next best thing to educate these people, as we can never stop them.IF chants are proved against any one of course.
