Bambas miss but Glatzels header

Sun Jan 26, 2020 9:57 am

Bamba getting the attention for missing a sitter which is fair enough.

But what about Glatzels missed header for the ball to reach Bamba? It was a cracking cross and almost a free header. For those that bemoan Glatzels lack of service that was a fluffed chance.

I like Glatzel but have to agree on that one. It came of his shoulder.

Yes he was on edge of 6yrd yard box facing away from goal poor effort but then bamba 1yrd out to put ball in between 24ft gap facing goal with a slow ball heading his way now tell me who missed the chance? :banghead:

I like him too,but I've seen plenty of top strikers do the same, mistimed jump, hits their shoulder, and either flies miles off target,or on many occasions end up in the back of the net,but WTF Bamba was thinking is beyond me!! Why didn't he just smash it in with his foot? It was at a great height for it,not to swoop as low as he had to to head it! Terrible decision that should have won the tie for us.even the best fluff their lines is my take,on both players counts, not to be confused with me saying they are both part of "the best" in their posistions :thumbright: I mean the top strikers, but at least we are still in the hat for the draw, even though another game is not really wanted (replay )we are still in the greatest domestic cup competition the world :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :old: :bluebird:

Bamba tried to put ball in corner away from defender! you could see way he looked and positioned himself But in reality that defender was behind line falling backwards in middle of goal so would never have stopped ball crossing line even if bamba put ball at him? :o

He wasn't facing away from goal at all. And if he was he shouldnt be as the ball about to delivered from threatening wide area, which happens all too infrequently. It was a bad miss overlooked as Bambas even worse.

Doesn’t matter about the Glatzel effort, the plain fact of the matter is Bamba should have buried it. Criminal to miss from there.

Glatzel has missed better chances than that one. WBA away for instance. I’m sorry but I have no confidence in the guy scoring from any header

Was there a worse City centre forward for heading ability than Zahore?

Danny Showers wasn’t much cop but better with his noggin than these 2

Bazza, your not even a glass half-empty person, more like a glass half-smashed. Do you celebrate Christmas with a Santa Clause voodoo doll?

Ball came from wide out so he was facing goal hoping ball land on his head without looking at it? Normally if waiting for a cross player is standing looking at where ball is coming from what hight ect, he was also inline with post at best so not simple as putting head to ball he needed to twist his head to get on target which is not his strong point as we all know! Not sure why glatzel is being slated in this post for bamba missing easiest chance anyone will have this season..

The guy is constantly trolling.
Says the same shite every post.

He’s either sick or has an agenda because nobody can be so pessimistic, defeatist and permanently negative about a club he says he “supports”.
