A forum for all things Cardiff City

As most of you know I go to every Cardiff Game Home and Away.
I've been supporting the City since 1968 since the 80s I can count on one hand Racism slurs I've heard and the last one being West Ham away 2004.
VINCE ALM
Cardiff has been a cosmopolitan area since the 50s with many different cultures integrated into the city with no issue.
Homophobic chanting is very rare and I cannot recall the last time I heard Cardiff fans sing about it.
However what I do hear week in week out is nonsensical chanting anti english and anti welsh back and forth. Personally I believe it does nothing to support the team but Racial homophobic chanting it isn't.
Despite both sets of fans singing anti English anti welsh songs today, and shouting abuse at each other across the segregation line, Reading FC chose to accuse Cardiff city supporters of racism and homophobic insults by making an announcement aimed just at Cardiff city fans after two stewards made a complaint about anti English chanting. This is a slur on a football club who has NO recent history of racism or homophobia.
The stewards have been interviewed by the police and I believe there will be no arrests and no investigation.
Very disappointing

Vince Alm:
Quite shocked the BBC allowed this to go out with out confirming first, and not using the word alleged.
They are normally more reserved than most news streams?

Headlines like this is why I never support our local news media. Cardiff City FC keep several journalists in a full time job by allowing them to report on the club.
WOL are very rarely supportive of the club and its fans, on many occassions past and present they can not wait to kick the club and criticise them.
I accept they have to report the facts, but their reporting is very rarely balanced with very little research done. The editor would have approved that headline so they cannot blame a junior, but anyone not attending that game will read that headline and instantly think cardiff supporters were shouting and singing racist chants.
Personally I never have anything to do with WOL anymore. I will not even click on links and browse their website.
There is no further investigation, stewards have already given evidence half time to the police: That evidence was looked at and a total of 4 Cardiff supporters have been interviewed regarding alleged anti English chanting NOT HOMOPHOBIA
Its unbelievable headline really considering there is more information about, but it has worked for them they have us talking about it! Hope more supporters join me in boycotting them until they become more supportive of one of their local clubs

Top statement vince

it's clear it's because it's cardiff city, same as some of the piss poor decisions last season

And the clear offside for reading's goal, although he made a mends, by denying them a goal, that was marginal at best offside!
