New username - a chance to put on ignore

Sat Jan 25, 2020 12:10 pm

As it seems everyone has had enough of the pointless merry-go-round, the solution is to stick with one username and those that want to can put me on ignore. Those that don’t I invite to debate sensibly without insults or off topic jibes that wreck threads and the forum as a whole.

People fought for others to be able to discuss even trivial topics such as football without some feeling they have to silence them, this is what makes this game great, the different views and knowledge people have. Different views is not an offensive term, disagreeing is not a personal attack and being proven correct is not arrogance.

I am happy to give 72 hours for people to decide what they want to do with regards to putting me on ignore or not. Should you not put me on ignore and then contribute to wrecking threads simply because I air my view then it’s clear the issue then lies at that persons door.

In order to put a username on ignore you click the username, navigate to “add foe” and then you do not see what that person posts. If another responds to me and quotes me - have self restrain and don’t read it.

Hopefully that can be the end of the matter and everyone can get back to discussing football without this constant need for abusing others for having a view and presenting it well.

For those that put me on ignore, thanks.

For those that decide not to, I will look forward to discussing football with you. :occasion5:

Does that mean you'll stick to your own posts or will you still be crashing other peoples threads with your deliberate obtuse view point.Better than Viagra for you eh?

I will be using the forum like everyone else.

You seem to have posted on my thread here for example. I’m not taking offence at that, it’s a discussion forum. There is no such thing as “crashing threads”, threads are for the users to pass comment on.

Your last comment is the type that drag these threads down. Nothing I post is obtuse, it is usually the obvious common sense view and happily offer explanations as to why that is the case.

How many usernames do you have ? Why you go to this much trouble is beyond me.

Do you have multiple tabs open at once ? Must be a logistical nightmare

Usually one active username at a time.

It really is no trouble, why would I need multiple tabs?

You mean the username? I don’t think it exists anymore.

Happy to have you on board. The thing with this “right” stuff is I very rarely enter a debate unless I’m correct. People don’t tend to clock that. Which is why I appear to be in that correct position in a debate an overwhelming amount of the time.

Debating is easy when you are doing it on the side of fact, because they do the talking for you. That’s why people get frustrated at my points because there is no way to debate against what is known fact. So they turn to abuse and trying to get me banned.

The rarer occasions I do enter debates with an opinion, I openly say others are welcome to their own opinions and we do not have to agree - however that often ends up falling on deaf ears and I am abused for disagreeing regardless.
