Dreaded vote of confidence for Ole?
Thursday 23rd January 2020
Sky Sports are claiming that Manchester United’s board have no plans to sack Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.
A meeting was held this morning and the Manchester United board say they will continue to back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The former Bluebirds boss has overseen United’s worst points tally after 24 games in over 30 years.
Ole has come under increased pressure after watching his side slump to a desperately poor 2-0 defeat at the hands of Burnley last night.
United have eight days remaining in the transfer window, and it remains to be seen whether he can now turn things round.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is on the brink at Manchester United following their 2-0 defeat to Burnley on Wednesday night.
The United manager faced a barrage of criticism in the wake of the result, which left the Old Trafford club a massive 30 points behind leaders Liverpool. Sky Sports are reporting that he retains the support of the board, but the bookmakers think otherwise.
They have slashed the odds on the Norwegian getting the boot, with the Clarets loss coming on the back of a demoralising 2-0 battering at the hands of Jurgen Klopp's swashbucklers.
Solskjaer is 6/4 to be the next top-flight manager to leave with Ladbrokes, but as short as 8/11 at Paddy Power and Betfair.
Former United defender Rio Ferdinand described the state of the club as "embarrassing" at present and laid into the board for their poor recruitment record.
"Around £600million has been spent on this squad, and on what? I don't see it out there. I don't see that the money, the recruitment, what has been bought," he said on BT Sport after the game against Burnley.
"There is nothing there that suggests to me that this is going to be something that is laying down the foundations for the future.
"I'm sitting up here and if I'm honest, I'm embarrassed. It's embarrassing to be here. The way the team is. Not just the way the team perform but I don't see what is coming next. You don't see a pathway."
Solskjaer himself didn't sugarcoat matters. "For me, the most important thing is we have to perform on the pitch. Tonight wasn't good enough for a Manchester United team," he admitted.
"The boys have given everything they've got, but they're experiencing this period for the first time in their lives.
“When you're at Manchester United, you're playing at the biggest and best club in the world. Some of them have played 10, 12, 15 games and it's not easy for them.
"I'm going to back them and help them get through this. We can't do anything but hold our hands up and say it's not good enough.”
Many supporters have already made their minds up, with fans once again referencing his disastrous spell with Cardiff City as reason enough to move him on.

I don't know how much longer they can keep him.
Watched their match on TV last night and they had no idea what they were doing.
His record there is worse than it was with us.
Met him on numerous occasions when he was our manager and I will say he's one of the nicest people you'll meet, just not a good manager.

It's just a case of when, they can't be sure on Poch otherwise he would be there by now, maybe they wait until the next top name becomes available?

Man Utd went this far to keep Ole at the club, they might as well stick by him until the team gets good again in a few years time.

Be good to see him managing at Bristol City before they pull too far ahead of us.

i dont think sacking the man is the answer. look at that line up, how many leaders can you name.
only a few years ago, they had the likes of Rio, vidic, evra, Fletcher, Carrick, etc, proper leaders, and guys who can grab the game by the scruff of the neck
