Bookmakers have suspended betting on Gareth Bale making a shock return to Tottenham Hotspur before the end of the month.
According to the Daily Mail , a flurry of big money bets have been placed on the Welsh superstar making a return to North London, seven years after he left for the Spanish capital for a world record fee of £85m.
Paddy Power slashed their odds on the move happening on Tuesday morning from 3/1 to 8/15, before eventually suspending betting on the possible move.
It comes despite agent Jonathan Barnett playing down the chances of a departure, telling ESPN earlier in the month that Bale was staying put in January and, “very unlikely” to leave at the end of the season.
Nevertheless, speculation over a move has continued to rumble on, and Tottenham have now emerged as shock contenders for his signature.

A weird one to follow Annis as the report out yesterday stated he’d told Real Madrid that he wants to see out his contract and leave on a free in 2022

Wouldn’t like to see him go back there he should go to a club that is going to be capable of winning things.

Spurs have long been mentioned as his next destination and they will love to have him back, if it occurs
With Gareth, it is a monetary thing now and Real Madrid only have themselves to blame for (a) giving him the long contract, and (b) allowing their Coach to mis-manage him in recent times (in two separate spells)
Be fair though, apart from 4 European (Champions League) Cups, 4 FIFA Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 1 Liga, 1 Copa del Rey and 2 Spanish Super Cups, what did Gareth Bale ever do for Real Madrid?

A world class player who has been badly treated at Real Madrid, would love to see him return to the PL. He's won everything and more at Real Madrid and earnt a lot of money, he should try to grow his reputation back in English football.
