COVENTRY CITY DVP 1 CARDIFF CITY DVP 1
H/T 0-0

Cardiff City DVP ( Under 23’s) today play Coventry City DVP ( Under 23’s)

Coxe is the only player playing from the Cardiff City team that played Carlisle last week.

I stated that City fielded the majority with first team experience and over all mainly players who had played first team football this season other Cameron Coxe.

By a number of usual suspects, I was slated and it was even said by a couple it was our Under 23’s team  , well on Saturday v Brum I showed that Neil Harris rotates his first team squad and was not having ago at him for that, just proving that v Carlisle was a strong team that played that night.

Here’s today’s DVP / Under 23’s side v Coventry :bluebird:

Which is what it should be :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird:

You stated "Virtually a first team".

Maybe in Warnock's eyes, but Not Harris.

There was no Bennett, Peltier, Morrison, Nelson, Pack, Bacuna, Hoilett, Mendez, Glatzel or Tomlin.

Of that team against Carlisle, only Smithies, Richards, Whyte and Ward played against Birmingham. Some came in on Merit, others because of injuries.

These players are neither a "First Team" or a development squad. they are fringe players. The type you bring in for Cup games or injuries.

Their were 9 players from Carlisle game either starting or on the Subs bench and on another day could be more etc etc but all with first team experience

Here comes one of them still twisting my words

maybe in Warnocks but not Harris eyes ? then name 10 players omitted by Harris { presumably because you think Harris regards them as 1st team } 8 who played in NWs final game and 2 that were out injured for his final game. :?

:bluebird: ' SO MANY CARDIFF FANS ARGUED LAST NIGHT THAT THE TEAM NEIL HARRIS PUT OUT ARE NOT FIRST TEAM PLAYERS ' :bluebird:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=212269 :bluebird:

LAST NIGHTS TEAM WHICH STARTED V CARLISLE, WHICH MANY ON HERE SAID ARE NOT REGULAR FIRST TEAM PLAYERS.

Let’s take a look and please all comment again :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Cardiff have played just over half the season 2019-20 :bluebird: :bluebird:

I will admit that Cameron Coxe is not a regular and is new to the first team, but we have been crying out for him to be given a chance, as the team this season have produced some dire/awful games.

:bluescarf: :bluebird: " CARDIFF WON & WE ARE THROUGH TO THE NEXT ROUND THAT PLEASES ME " :bluebird: :bluescarf:

My point was Cardiff were playing one of the worst teams in the Football league in fact 21st in League 2, 57 positions below Cardiff City & last season Cardiff was a Premier League club. Cardiff last night conceded 3 goals and over two games 5 goals v Carlisle.

This season our first team squad has been awful in defence under Warnock & Harris.

NEIL WARNOCK & NEIL HARRIS HAVE BEEN ROTATING MANY OF THE STRIKERS & WINGERS

Sol Bamba & Aden Flint are suppose to be two of our main defenders & biggest names at Cardiff City and they both started last night.

Alex Smithies 12 first team appearances :bluebird: just been given the No 1 position by Neil Harris

Cameron Coxe: 2 first team appearances :bluebird: The fans & even our club now demanding to see some younger players feature.

Sol Bamba: 104 first team appearances :bluebird: Bamba to many the most consistent City player & the one every one has been begging to return regularly.

Aden Flint :27 first team appearances :bluebird: Our most expensive defender currently at Cardiff City & probably played the most games of any of our defenders this season 27 appearances.

Jazz Richards : 40 appearances :bluebird: Rated very highly by Neil Harris & says Jazz is a big part of his future plans this season, so far now played 5 first team games.

Will Vaulks : 11 appearances :bluebird: A Welsh International who will go and be part of the Euros this year & played 11 first team games for Cardiff this season.

Joe Ralls : 206 appearances :bluebird: Clearly a first team player & both managers rate Ralls as one of our star players and always look to start him, played 15 first team games this season.

Gavin Whyte: 19 appearances :bluebird: Started v Swansea , another international player who has so far played 19 first team games this season.

Josh Murphy: 30 appearances :bluebird: Cost Cardiff City £11million / played 11 first team games this season.

Callum Paterson:78 appearances :bluebird: Always from day one been involved around the first team including 18 appearances this season.

Danny Ward: 32 appearances :bluebird: The player many fans would rather start than Robert Glatzel and has played 12 first team games so far this season.

MANY ON HERE STUCK UP FOR THE TEAM LAST NIGHT & SAID THE MAJORITY ARE NOT FIRST TEAM CARDIFF PLAYERS.

Cardiff are just over half way through this season and the majority of City players last night have been involved in the first team.

Well without dragging this thread too far sideways as you are running commentary on the DVP game.

I feel our understanding of first team player and fringe player are different.

But I also never said it was an under 23s team either.

That team against Carlise was made up of Fringe players, players returning from injury and players forced to play due to the amount of injuries we have.

And all had played first team football this season :bluebird:

Can’t you see Harris is rotating the squad and still finding which is his best 11.

Re: Interesting: ‘ Cardiff City Today ‘

Anybody arguing that the team that played against Carlisle wasn’t made up of first team players is either dumb or doesn’t understand what the meaning of first team is.

There’s no other explanation for it.

It’s just fact. You might as well go and argue that the sky isn’t blue and grass isn’t green.

They are just the usual half dozen sarcastic snipers, just being like it for the sake of it, because I clearly state what you’ve just stated :thumbright: :bluebird:

They can clearly understand my statement and know what I mean, but instead what to be argumentative and it’s not a different opinion as the facts are there in the statement.

Maybe if you understood the word 'virtual' better you would understand the fundamental mistake you are making.

According to the Cambridge Dictionary the word 'virtual' is an adjective with a definition of "as almost a particular thing or quality." Other definitions include "almost or nearly as described, but not completely or according to strict definition."

So when Annis described the team vs. Carlisle as "virtually a first team" by definition he was describing a team which resembled a 'first team' but it was not the actual real thing i.e. CCFC strongest starting XI.

It is quite clear to me what he was saying and frankly I find your attempts to twist what was 'actually' posted against what was 'virtually' posted pretty pathetic. :D

Annis we all have different opinions you have different ones to me on somethings that that's how it should be.

However, we should debate those differences and if necessary concede when wrong. Several times you have been right in difference of opinions with me and I'm happy to admit that. But what I really don't like is when some posters try to twist what was posted just to humiliate another poster whether that's you or someone else. Those kind of posters really think they are clever but if they were as smart as they think they are they wouldn't need to resort to what I call 'the dark arts'

Mr. Shed must have known he what he was doing and it is wrong and not in the slightest bit clever.
