Cardiff voted below average for home atmosphere

Mon Jan 20, 2020 9:43 am

So we have been identified as having a poor atmosphere.
Probably a fair assessment, as a support, we are like the team, good in patches .
We need to step it up..

Any link?

I agree the atmosphere has got worse at home games, it’s like a morgue for many home games.

Move the away fans next to canton is the only way forward

That’s not going to happen, costs will spiral,
Needs to be down to us as fans to pipe up a bit more .

It's harsh on our fans but probably fair.

What can you do though, the atmosphere in the Canton stand is decent, the atmosphere in the away end are usually decent but they are at opposite ends of the ground so you do not have that edge you sometimes need to get an atmosphere going.

Add to that, if you even dare move in some other parts of the ground you will have the stewards on your case so unfortunately it is what it is.

No more can be done by the fans, we have as large a vocal support as anyone they are just in the wrong place.

Ps, that's quite old and been going around for years, Coventry are ranked as one of the better ones just don't even have a ground ffs

maybe Vince needs to knock the drum on the head for a while.
its defo been a big help at times but the down side is it can restrict the Canton to what he wants them singing ?

I wouldn't take this as anything other than someones opinion as it's doing the rounds on the championship page on FB and has done for years.

What a load of bollocks when you see Leicester in the top groups with there clapper boards and no atmosphere and Fulham above us that is absolute bullshit. Yes our atmosphere has been awful this season I will agree with that.

I have and would still support a swap from Canton to Grange end to improve the atmosphere. But at the same time I will contradict myself and admit that we have proven with Cardiff and Wales that it doesn't really need to happen to get a great atmosphere going.

If the fans need more than a South Wales derby to get up for it then I'm afraid we are truly fucked. I've heard people try to defend the atmosphere for that game but in reality our fan base has just become wet as f**k and the only thing that gets the stadium rocking is success.

That being said, Fulham and Chelski above us?
