Champions League EXTRA Stages

Looks like there are plans to re shuffle the Champions League format and add extra group stages from 2024.

It also means that teams would QUIT the Carabao Cup to enter the new stages? I take it that would mean that teams outside the "Big 4 or 5" clubs have more of a chance to win it and get to Europe?

Yes and no would this move be an insensitive to play stronger sides or carry on playing fringe or young players? Same applies to championship teams? The incentive would be to play the better players but there again eufa cup is normally a poisoned chalice for clubs in it as league form as always dropped with a few exceptions because of Sunday thurs games.

yep.
the knock out stages had 1 round less I think. but having said that whoever finished 4th had to start in the qualifiers..
so 3 teams would play 2 extra games and the other would play same as now. ?
