I’m not a particular fan of Flint and wouldn’t pick him if other centre backs are fit but he’s a decent squad player for me.

If not for him we’d be out of the cup.

Some people on here take a dislike and see nothing else no matter if someone puts in a man of the match display like it appears Flint did last night.

Looked ok from the very brief highlights I saw, and as already stated, there were plenty of others at fault defensively. I suppose It's hard to form an honest opinion based on a couple of minutes of highlights, presumably the OP was at the game so he would be in the best position to give is his overview based on the full 90 minutes rather than the short clip on here.

Flint is not perfect but which centre halfs at the club are? You can see his desire to win when he plays. I hope he doesn't read some of the crap written about him.

We have three defenders the same mould Morrison, Flint and Bamba in that order, none of them can play well together, if we had played Flint and Nelson yesterday things would have been a lot better.

We have three defenders the same mould Morrison, Flint and Bamba in that order, none of them can play well together, if we had played Flint and Nelson yesterday things would have been a lot better.

We need a new faster different type Central Defender and to Sell or Release Bamba probably, then it's Morrison with Flint as back up, and Nelson or New Defender with one as a back up.

i would sell him. not because i blame him for last night in any form, but i feel our aging back 4 needs some young blood. Nelson is looking good and i would prefer him next to Morrison. i would like us to either try and bleed through an academy player (if there are any good enough) or maybe sign a youngster on loan as cover for Nelson.
