League 2 Carlisle, and one of the worst sides in football.

Yes this is flint level (hes found it) but hes conceded 2 goals with his defending.

Best position for Flint is on the bench.

4-3 Carlisle got another goal back
more shocking defending

Flint involved in 5 goals so far? ;P

May as well. He's one of the worst defenders we have yet he's probably one of our best attacking threats

. Frankly i don't think he should be anywhere near our defence, he's a complete liability at the back and its no coincidence that the game he doesn't play in we look calm and assured at the back, yet when he comes back in we look shaky again at the back and concede 3 goals against Carlisle.

I don't think this is a stupid idea. Let's face it Madine went two years without scoring and Flint has got I think five goals this season. He is better in the air than Glatzel and Patterson, would probably have scored at least one of the three headed chances Glatzel and Patterson missed against Swansea. If we are willing to pay Wigan £2.3 million for the dubious talents of Kieffer Moore and given the limitations of both Glatzel and Patterson I would not be opposed to giving him a go up front.

He’s so slow he would of never got on to the end of any of those headed chances

Oh dear. You do realise there's sliiiightly more to being a striker than winning headers?

There have been plenty of tall gangly strikers who have been a bit slow and not really looked like great footballers who have proved to be very effective strikers from Mark Hately to Peter Crouch. You don't have to be very quick just get into the box when it looks like a cross is coming in. As for there is more to being a forward than being good in the air nonsense. There are plenty of strikers who have made a good living from not much more than being good in the air,it's not rocket science playing up front.I doubt that Flimt is any slower than Alan Lee Steve Thompson Alex Revell Gary Madine etc and is probably better in the air than all of them and he scores more goals than most of them playing in defence.

John Charles was a big guy who could play at Centre Half or Centre Forward mainly due to his heading ability, Tosh said that Big John showed him how to head properly! So Flint at Centre Forward the way we hoof it would be worth a try?

Good call - we have not got much to loose to try him there for a match or two and may surprise us all ?
Peter Crouch made a living from being a gangly stick insect with a good head.
Mid table going nowhere at the mo.
