lack of atmosphere

Sun Jan 12, 2020 8:44 pm

Why was that then ? I realise it was a poor game but how could any Cardiff player be bothered when the the crowd couldn't be arsed to open their mouths ,That had to be the worst crowd participation I've ever witnessed in a Derby .

Time of kick off,day of game, two shit sides, the list of reasons is endless

And they were just as bad only occasionally raising their voices... heared louder from less away fans at ccs but the match made it that way! Very Uninspiring game and both sets fans added to the dullness :old:

Uninspiring management team and their lack of footballing style.

Didn't think it was that bad. Didn't hear the Jacks, definitely better than when we lost 0-1 and Emnes scored

I agree mate, I'm really feeling my age tonight AND I'm gutted by how piss poor our vocal support was today.
Football has changed in a big way but not necessarily in a positive when it comes to Cardiff City.
We used to have a reputation for a variety of reason, some positive & some negative.
We had a reputation of a tidy firm and a vociferous home crowd that would be a 12th man or a 'bear pit' as Dave Jones
referred to Ninian Park.
Repetitive singing of Barmy Army is not a vocal home support in a derby, what a shower of shit today.
It shouldn't be left to 50 yr old blokes to get behind the team, where are we as a fanbase???
The Jacks can re-write history as much as they want regarding the derby, we all know what the reality was back in the day
but we seem to have simply played into their hands and as a mate said today "Cardiff HAVE GONE SOFT"
Since Chelsea away in the cup we've slowly but surely turned into a club like Watford/Bournemouth & Brentford.
We used to be like Millwall, Leeds & West Ham, we've lost our Soul as a club and it saddens me to say it.

:old: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

p.s Igonre this WelshCasual poster what a nobody bullshiting Jack he is.

Excuses not reasons. The reason is our fans are shit houses who can't even get up for a derby.

I couldn’t have put it better myself. The atmosphere was like for a normal game. Though, in defence, the authorities with the stupid kick off times etc have not helped.

What do you expect it’s the new age of the millennial snowflake fan :laughing6:

The drum in the canton end has spoilt the atmosphere as they do the same 3 or 4 songs over and over again. It is the reason you don't hear many songs down there now. So many times you hear a small section of fans start singing just for the drums to come in and drown them out with the same chants. Should only be used to get the fans going when quiet.

The way the ground is set up doesn’t help, with the vocal lot being opposite ends? Even if you take the club we played yesterday for an ie, the singing home fans are right next to the away fans are they not? I know lots of families who don’t really enjoy being next to the away fans either. The club won’t listen though, it’s the modern way. In another 25 years it will be down to just clapping like club rugby

It’s all to do with the microphones apparently.

Although I reckon it could be that the average age attending seems to be 7 years old, amazing how many children are targeted with sheer regularity. They must all be kids.

Could be either I suppose.

 I agree. Each to their own I suppose, but I love a good singalong. If I just went to watch the game, I could have had a better viewing experience on Sky TV.

Bring back the ayatollah, the Bluebirds chant on corner kicks and C A R D I F F... and what have you got.
