I am guessing it is because your manager blamed the length of the grass as to why you didnt win.

Would be nice if other stands actually put some effort in and didn't just rely on the Canton all the time.

It would be but the Canton is the singing area. It’s where the fans congregate to sing. It’s a dedicated standing area and where the drums are.
There was an area around 116 & 117 where the fans were stood up with some singing. The stewards tried to get them to sit down but it didn’t work.

The Canton was very poor and added little to any atmosphere at all.

100% agree. .i had a ST in there but my standing and singing days are over so moved.. those in there with no intention of singing should do likewise and leave youngsters with enthusiasm take their place.
