In the club washing machine still in Nelsons pocket!

To be fair he is a young lad playing his first game for this team. Most players need a few games to settle in, and he also needs to get used to the pace of Championship football. Hard to judge a player on one 90 minute performance, but the fact he is on the books of the current World Champions suggest he has something about him. Probably best to judge him after he has half a dozen or so games under his belt.

Probably be best to wait a few games before judging although you usually don’t mind making a tit of yourself.

This is why they loan them, to toughen them up from aged grade football.

The big boys don't give anyone any favours, this is in Liverpool's interest. I wonder if they must play him when fit at certain amount of times or pay a fee ?

He didn't look anything special but its very very early in his career.

Marshall and Nelson plated him well to be fair. He had a few moments where he showed he had something and at least had the confidence to take on those failed shots. I'm sure he is costing a lot less than Glatzel and I know who I would prefer.

Not really as plenty of shit players have come through Liverpool’s and other big clubs academies. The fact he didn’t even make the Starting team when Klopp played the kids against Everton says a lot. Think he will end up abit like Solanke praised up because of performances in young level internationals but scores almost fuckall in first team football.

Literally barely knew he was on the pitch but yes he’s young and still only has potential. The main point though is in light of his obvious ineffectiveness, why the hell did cooper not make any changes? Welcome but bizarre :bluebird:

“What a game to come into,” he said.

“Our fans were brilliant. It was tough. They played a lot of long balls, so it was a bit of a fight, but the boys dug deep.

“I thought I played alright but I feel like I have a lot more to come. “Obviously, it would have been nice to get a goal, but I’m all for the team. I didn’t help them as much as I would have liked but, hopefully, I can in the coming weeks.

“I will just take the positives from the game. It’s great to make my debut for the Swans and my first senior league appearance; it gives me confidence that I was thrown straight into the starting line-up.

“I was disappointed with my shots; I dragged them a bit.

“But I’ll get back on the training pitch and try to improve so that when I’m in those positions again, I can maybe score or hit the target at least.

“I’ll just keep trying to push on and help the team as much as I can.”

I agree Fusilier. 19 year old playing first game and first league game for new club. He had two horrific scuffed shots but had times he showed a good first touch. He had some shit straight aerial balls sent his way and let's face it he is not there for that. Glatzels had half a season to adapt to the Championship after we paid £5 million for him and he scuffed a shot and looked bang ordinary like he does most games.

Liverpool must have been laughing their heads off when Bournemouth offered £20m for Solanke. He’s shocking!

Bit harsh the op but it is a gamble considering they are suppose to be going for playoffs ? Is bringing in an inexperienced player certainly at championship level the way to improve team ? Could backfire especially if got to play set number of games which tends to be stipulated by top clubs, and he doesnt adjust to hurly burley of championship life, after all doesnt have much time to do it in..
