“We wanted to win the game today. We knew how much the away game hurt them, not only losing but the performance wasn’t good enough.”
“I thought the boys did fantastic on the pitch today . It could have gone either way. I’m happy we haven’t lost but disappointed we didn’t win”

Record?
From the outside it definitely put pressure on us. We didn’t want to go down in history as the team to lose both derbies. It’s just disappointing that we lacked a bit of cutting edge up front. I had a couple of opportunities I just couldn’t get on the end of.

SEAN MORRISON:
The gaffer’s worked hard with us. We’ve bought into his philosophies. Since he’s come in there’s not been a massive period where we’ve had time to set a whole week ahead on the training pitch, so this week has been fantastic. A lot of work has gone into today. If we can keep building, we’re nowhere near the finished product, and we need to keep working as a team and to try and get the best out of each other. There’s still an opportunity for us to get into the play-offs

Brewster?
He’s a young lad. He only signed this week. He’s very talented. I was watching his clips today and he looks like a top player from a top team, but the Championship is a different kettle of fish from the Premier League and Under-23s football. I think you could see flashes of his class and movement. I think Swansea have got a good player on their hands

SEAN MORRIS:
Unsettled with backline changes?
Not personally. I think that’s only my second game since the away fixture. I broke my wrist and my arm in that fixture. To come back into the Leeds game and get sent off. To have Christmas off was nice! But when you’ve got a talented squad of players, it motivates you to be better and to train harder.

Carlisle Away
“Personally, it’s huge. I’ve not had a cup run since I’ve been here. We’ve not been past the fourth round and it’s nice to get a cup run. You get the chance to play against bigger teams and if you turn up in that 90 minutes you can get through to the next round. It’s going to be a difficult game. It’s going to be cold and they’ll want to cause an upset. They’ll be right at it.“

Morrison was excellent today.
I'm not sure I'd agree that we were "fantastic" but after some of the performances in recent weeks it was certainly an improvement.

Defence looked far more solid with Morrison, just need to drop Pack now

Chuffed after achieving a mighty DRAW

I suggest he and his team mates set the bar a bit higher

Drop Pack? Replace him with who?
Yes he was poor yesterday, but he's been decent for most of the season.

That how bad we have become, when our captain things a draw against the jacks is fantastic, the game was very poor, both sides had little quality,if we had any creativity I thought the jacks were there for the taking

Yes should have gone all out to win and lose game! just for you and your mates to gloat you did double over us? This was important game in context of previous result against QPR and if nothing else performance was better and we didn't lose the game a game swans fans like yourself thought would win given our form this season.

either side could have won that game, as we both know there was no pressure on the Swans but a game I feel Cardiff should have gone on to win but by mid way through the second half both managers would have been happy with the point although maybe not so the home fans . Any draw away is a good point and considering how Swansea have been playing points dropped for Cardiff imo , ps of course either set of fans would have loved to gloat if they could , whats the point otherwise

Honest assessment of the game. Something your jack friend and swansea city fc representative on this forum is incapable of doing. I would have taken a draw before kick off - given that dreaded record (on this occasion anyway) that was being played for - but was quite disappointed we didnt win in the end. I feel we should have scored at least 2 in the first half where we were clearly the better team. You controlled the second half without creating too many clear cut chances. Could have gone either way seeing as neither team took their chances. Disappointed with the draw but just glad you didnt do the double. Unless we can both do some good business this window I think we will both finish between 8th and 12th.

I agree and if you want to although I 'm sure you'll trust my word

I voted for a draw , historically our games are tight affairs ( except a couple of years ago) and a couple on minor blips in the late 0's with low scoring games due to the pressure ? You played to your strengths which is makes it pleaseing for our two centre halfs who i thought had good games especially when you consider their ages and experience , I was suprised the Morrison was MOM , he did keep Brewster quiet but for the were we that threatening ? A draw a fair result for a game which wouldn't have defined our seasons in terms of where we'll both finish in the league but you could say points dropped for both if a bit more bravery by the managers ( Cooper definately) was shown

Neither the result or the players were fantastic so my point remains the same
