Harris interview on goalkeepers

Sun Jan 12, 2020 2:24 pm

He said he has too many first team keepers at the moment and does not want three.

Before the game he said Etheridge was dropped due to transfer speculation.

Etheridge on his way out maybe as he was dropped today ?

It sounds like he is going to me.

Well we looked more solid at back without him

I agree, I thought he looked far more solid and composed. The defence seemed calmer as a result.

Etheridge has done a great job here but time for him to go as we are well stocked in that area and he is possibly the worst kicker I have ever seen in 30 years of watching football

Haha! Completely forgot about him, can’t remember his kicking to be honest. I do know that he came outside Ninian Park with Jeff eckhart (who was my hero at the time no idea why) and said hello to me when I was a kid

Cue the insults but I heard from someone today that he’s not getting on particularly well with his team mates atm.
Become a bit of a loner apparently.

I agree Allan. Smithies, Nelson and Morrison at the back from now on hopefully. Looked much more solid at the back. Bennet probably has his best game this season.

Smithies kicking out is like another player passing he just brings more to the game.

Agree that either Etheridge or Smithies have too go, together with Bogle, Connelly and Pack, we need strengthening in other areas!
