MY VIEW " AS CARDIFF CITY TRIED TO PREVENT HISTORY "

CARDIFF CITY WENT INTO THIS GAME TRYING TO PREVENT SWANSEA DOING THE LEAGUE DOUBLE OVER US FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER AND IT FINISHED GOALLESS


Neil Harris made five changes, including Neil Etheridge and Aden Flint being dropped


Smithies, Peltier, Morrison, Nelson, Bennett, Bacuna, Pack, Whyte, Hoilett, Tomlin, Glatzel.




Robert Glatzel came close in the third minute, but headed wide

Routledge had a good chance for the Jacks in the 9th minute, but shot over

Brewster booked for a late challenge on Tomlin in the 11th minute

Glatzel had a header pushed away for a corner in the 15th minute

Woodman saved Nelson's header in the 16th minute

Cardiff City were the better team in the first 20 minutes

Nelson made a good block to deny Routledge in the 21st minute

Celina hit the post in the 28th minute

Hoilett booked for a challenge on Roberts on the half hour mark

Wilmot shot high and wide in the 31st minute

Cabango and Glatzel booked in the 34th minute for a scuffle

Morrison headed straight at Wooman in the 35th minute

Grimes' free kick went wide in the 37th minute

Morrison headed over in the 41st minute

A fairly even first half in the end

Byers shot deflected wide in the 47th minute and Roberts shot high and wide from the resulting corner

Brewster shot wide in the 68th minute

Murphy and Paterson replaced Whyte and Glatzel in the 70th minute

Bennett booked in the 72nd minute

Paterson hit the bar in the 77th minute

Smithies saved Ayew's 80th minute shot

Lee Tomlin shot wide in the 86th minute

Morrison headed wide in the 89th minute

I really don’t see what Hoilett and Murphy offer.

Murphy although not on the pitch long seemed he couldn’t be arsed.

The amount of times Tomlin was in a good position and nobody passed to him was unbelievable.

Slightly better in second half draw fair result neither team deserved to win that

No but can see why they are low in goals scored 1 shot near end on target! All the stats fairly equal so draw fair result. :thumbup:

That team has potential. We looked so much better at the back. Get a decent striker in January and a proper midfielder we will make the playoffs

:thumbup: Yes it was better, the defence coped with Ayew, Routledge and Brewster, they are the type of players that have previously been causing our back four problems.
