To me Neil Peart was always THE greatest drummer, playing in one of the best bands i’ve had the pleasure to listen to throughout my life.
I rarely get emotional when hearing about the passing of others (even more so with celebrities who i do not personally know), as that’s life and shit happens, but at the moment i’m feeling incredibly sad.

Magnificent drummer whose life was tinged with tragedy.
His daughter died in a car crash when only 19 and his wife died of cancer a year or so later.
The house band in heaven is getting bigger all the time unfortunately.
