CARDIFF MAKE CONTACT TO EX CARDIFF STARS AGENT

Thu Jan 09, 2020 4:26 pm

Cardiff City have made contact with Victor Camarasa's representatives over a move to bring him back to the Welsh capital, according to sources in Spain.

Thursday 9th January 2020

The creative midfielder has endured a torrid time of it since joining Crystal Palace this summer, having played only five minutes of Premier League football all season.

It is understandable, then, that the player is looking to leave Selhurst Park this month, with Norwich City and Spanish club Celta Vigo reportedly among the clubs, alongside Cardiff, interested in his situation.

Spanish football expert Colin Millar believes the likelihood of Camarasa leaving Palace this month is around '90 percent', with the 25-year-old believing he is reaching a crucial juncture in his career and needing game time under his belt.

So with the Spaniard likely heading for the exit door, where is his most likely destination?

"The player has spent the past 18 months in English football and - despite the lack of minutes this season - he seems to really enjoying living there and the style of play," Millar told WalesOnline.

"Obviously, he is also much likelier to be paid more handsomely in England than in Spain. Even for Cardiff - the average Championship club will have greater financial resources than most clubs in the bottom half of La Liga.

Big difference when you move abroad temporarily on a loan. You know you can always pull out and head back if it doesnt work out.
When you sign permanently it's a lot different as its for years.
This is a big decision for him and his career
