Cardiff City transfer evening transfer update as defender released and League One outfit rule out move for Bluebirds striker
By Glen Williams
The Bluebirds have shifted the first player off the wage bill as they look to streamline their squad this month
Armand Traore
Cardiff City have chosen not to renew the contract of left back Armand Traore.
The former Bluebirds defender re-signed on a short-term deal back in November, but, three months later, he has once again been released without playing a single match.
The Senegalese was signed to provide back-up for Joe Bennett after the news that Greg Cunningham, who might have been recalled this month, sustained a season-ending ACL injury while playing for Blackburn Rovers.
Traore, however, never even featured in a match-day squad.
The 30-year-old's exit frees up a little wiggle room on the wage bill and will mean there is one fewer player on the training ground, which has always been Neil Harris's aim.
Omar Bogle
Harris is looking to trim his squad this month and one player who is surplus to requirements, WalesOnline has learned, is Omar Bogle.
The striker has struggled for game time this season, despite showing glimpses of form at the start of the campaign, and has been told he is not part of City's plans moving forward.
One team who has been credited with an interest is Bristol Rovers, however we have learned that the League One outfit is not considered to be an option at present.
Bogle's exit is likely to be a story which picks up pace as the month wears on.
Joe Ledley (training with City only)
Another player linked with a move to the Memorial Stadium is former Bluebird Joe Ledley.
The midfielder is seeking employment after his short-term contract at Charlton expired this month.
The former City favourite and Wales international is thought to be seeking a move a little closer to home and has revealed that he has spoken to Newport boss Mike Flynn in recent weeks.
BristolLive, however, report that Ledley is not on the club’s radar this month.

Given the word "brief" in headline there should be fewer words in this shite WoL article. Obviously no fresh information.

Well there’s fresh information for some people who didn’t know the interest in Bogle and the Ledley situation.

Bogle is available to anyone that wants him for the 5th consecutive window

Paul, you're right; the info is out there and (most) people like to know what is/isn't/maybe happening at the club
Whilst I enjoy many of the posts from the two gentlemen above, neither is renowned for their overly positive contributions.
We can live in hope, though and I look forward to either/both putting something fresh and informative out there one day soon

Exactly keep any info coming, most fans want to know the latest situation even if it's slow unfolding
We live in different times and can no longer get links from the owners or ex players, hopefully we will get some in even though the information is no longer leaked in advance!
