A forum for all things Cardiff City

Any chance of an atmosphere Sunday from everybody Sunday? It’s been poor of late, In fact the last 3 home games remind me of our atmospheres under Slade.
We were embarrassing at the liberty, when I think back to all the games between Cardiff and Swansea in the past and how passionate it was, the youngsters need to step it up and they can do that Sunday. I get that football has changed and we are not not in the minority, I also appreciate it’s a Sunday morning and that it’s some times a two way thing and it’s hard for the fans to respond when the team are so flat. But come on, it’s a derby and the atmospheres last year in the premier were superb at times.
Men of Harlech, famous Cardiff city, I’ll be there, do the ayatollah, we are your capital, I don’t care what we sing but can we just have a good go and show what we are about. The drummers have a go but it’s the same 3 songs, come on lads our team needs us.
I cringe when I say this but we have become a little bit of a “ only sing when we are winning team “ that’s not our DNA we are better than that.
Don’t leave it under the stand like the liberty.
Make some noise, even if it’s just for this one game.
Your club and team need you. Bluebirds!!!

If we play like we have recently all I can envisage is a stunned silence. If the team give 100% effort the crowd will get behind them.

Get behind them regardless but I get what you are saying.

If Cardiff play rubbish and show no commitment or willingness to perform, then us people who aren’t made of money are paying anywhere from £10-40 a game or £150-600 for a season ticket, you want us to Reluctantly sing, clap, Chant, get excited when we’ve paid good money to be there and see us get humiliated. Cardiff players used to perform for the fans, there are certain players like Morrison, Bamba, Mendez-Laing & Tomlin who thrive off fan support, but as far as I’m concerned the other players don’t batter an eyelid, so yeah I stand with the other side of the fan base that will only turn up for our games when the players do

I back the club not the individual players.

I think this one means more to your lot at this stage, you can tell just by glancing on here how uneasy some are feeling. The double looming is not something to make the potential recipients mouth water shall we say.
So usually in matches like that it is an initial 10 minute burst where nervous energy gets expelled and then gradually slowing into long periods of silence. I expect this will be the case.

If we start really slowly in the usual let’s contain them way, we are done for. I said this before the game at there place a few months ago. There fans were bricking it before that game, then they coulddnt believe how easy we made it for them. Go for the jugular straight away, don’t let them settle like we always do. They will be well nervous. We won’t though. Huge test for ccfc and the mgt this week.

“Bricking it” before the game? Only goats eh..
Yes I’m sure the no wins out of the previous 3 games prior and the grand total of 2 points out of 9 put the fear of God into us

As I said, a quick look at both forums shows which set of supporters are feeling the nerves. No pressure on us at all, we are the away team and not expected to win. You guys are the home team that are desperate to avoid the dreaded “double”.

You are expected to win believe me.reason being what I've seen of us this season is gutless clueless football.so if we produce that you win.

I think if we start the game well with a lot of commitment, than the singing and cheering will be loud and passionate. The players have got to take some responsibility because if they start poorly and with no effort, than it spreads to the crowd. Every CC player should be up for this game, but as we saw at the Liberty, those isn’t always the case.

We aren’t, you are the home team and therefore have been instilled as favourites.
What we have both seen this season goes out the window in derby matches and this one is more seen as more important to you than us, for various reasons.

FFS excuses in early, a full house playing againgst the Club's biggest rivals regardsless of what some might post of here , 10,000 tickest sold more than that for Bristol . If they aren't up for this then there's no hope for the rest of the season

Not sure why fans comparing performance in the other game to Sunday's game, it will be no where as dull as that game and team be up for it that's for sure with 27k home fans behind them, it will be upto Swansea players to silence them....

There was a guy in the Canton at the Preston game starting loads of old favourites, mostly about the Jacks. Best 10 minutes of the game. Hope he’s there Sunday because I’m not expecting much encouragement from the pitch.
