NEIL HARRIS: “I ASKED THE PLAYERS FOR A LITTLE BIT MORE”

Sat Jan 04, 2020 6:26 pm

Cardiff City manager Neil Harris told BBC Sport Wales:

"At half-time there was no ranting or raving, obviously I didn't make any changes, I just asked the players for a little bit more belief, move the ball a bit quicker and the end product will come.

"We scored two goals and I think we could have easily had another three or four.

"I really thought we were going to win the game but we came to a bit of a lull, maybe because so many players hadn't played a regular 90 minutes.

"The last 10 minutes was like a real FA Cup game, it could have gone either way.

"Disappointed not to get through, but pleased to come back from being two down."

Same old guff - would rather he said we were fcuking crap and that they are all useless. At least that would be honest.

Perhaps he needs to do a bit of ranting and raving before the game starts and then maybe boot a few of them up the arse at half time.

Why can't we play for 90 minutes?

Why do we have to wait until we're one, two or even three goals behind before we do anything to suggest that we are actually in the game?

Needs to sort things out - and fast.

The game went into a lull because he waited until 80 mins to put glatzel and Tomlin on? If anyone read my earlier post I said bring those two on at half time? Then later said after our 2nd goal to make change then while pressure was on or game will drop and this is exactly what happened as said by NH? Why didnt he think same he is manager after all.. :banghead:

NH was looking for a response after capitulation at QPR. Didn't get one.

The positive from that game was we now know the players that should be going this month

What an uninspiring load of guff. Probably already preparing his after match notes for next weeks derby loss as we speak

It was very uninspiring! if I could see what needed to happen at halftime and what would happen, why did it take him until 80mins to do exactly what I said and see way game went as I predicted? Perhaps I should be manager?

The interview shows he is under pressure.

I bet the players were just as underwhelmed by the appointment as the fans

He is very lucky to have got a replay in the end. He has saved his face.

The negative however is that it's most of them!

I think we should be really worried, coming off a 6-1 hammering Against qpr,Carlisle should have been a perfect side to play, considering their league position, yes it weren’t a full strength Cardiff, but it weren’t good enough fa cup Fixture or not
