MY VIEW " AFTER A TERRIBLE FIRST HALF "

NEIL HARRIS NAMED A STRONG TEAM AND THEY STRUGGLED WITH CARLISLE HAVING A TWO GOAL LEAD AT HALF TIME

CARDIFF HAD NO FIGHT IN THAT FIRST HALF AND DID NOT LOOK LIKE A TEAM

BUT THEY FOUGHT BACK IN THE SECOND HALF TO GET A REPLAY

Neil Harris named a very strong team against League Two opposition.

Smithies, Coxe, Bamba, Morrison, Bennett, Bacuna, Vaulks, Paterson, Whyte, Murphy, Ward

Cardiff started strongly and Danny Ward had a shot saved in the first five minutes

GOAL: CARDIFF CITY 0-1 CARLISLE UNITED - Sol Bamba mad a foul in the box, and the referee gave a penalty. Smithies saved Jack Bridge's 11th minute penalty, but he scored the rebound

Cardiff had dominated the first 25 minutes without threatening the Carlisle goal and found themselves 1-0 down

Whyte had a half volley that went over the bar in the 34th minute

Hope booked for Carlisle in the 40th minute

Josh Murphy's free kick in the 41st minute was tipped over the bar

GOAL: CARDIFF CITY 0-2 CARLISLE UNITED - In the second minute of first half stoppage time, Harry McKirdy added a second for Carlisle

HALF TIME: CARDIFF CITY 0-2 CARLISLE UNITED

Josh Murphy had a shot saved in the 48th minute, with Will Vaulks shooting the rebound over

GOAL: CARDIFF CITY 1-2 CARLISLE UNITED - Sol Bamba hit the bar and Callum Paterson put in the rebound to half the deficit in the 50th minute

Danny Ward's shot saved in the 52nd minute

GOAL: CARDIFF CITY 2-2 CARLISLE UNITED - Gavin Whyte headed us level in the 54th minute

Paterson headed over in the 56th minute

Josh Murphy put the ball in the net in the 60th minute but it was disallowed for offside

In the 61st minute, the goalkeeper made a brilliant save to deny Murphy from distance

It was all Cardiff in the second half with Carlisle struggling to get out their own half

Joe Bennett shot over in the 71st minute

Will Vaulks had a shot from distance saved in the 76th minute

Lee Tomlin and Robert Glatzel replaced Cameron Coxe and Danny Ward in the 78th minute

Hope had the chance to win the match for Carlisle in the 85th minute but shot over

FULL TIME: CARDIFF CITY 2-2 CARLISLE

It’s awful preparation for next week... probably dented the confidence of our senior players further and can’t imagine the youngsters would’ve done much worse

Wouldn't be confident of winning up there

The worst result we could have had really. Now we face a 600 mile 10 hour midweek trip 2 days after the Swansea game.

Pathetic, did people actually expect us to win. Didn't waste my time, money or effort going to watch shit football.

NH and his players need to take a long hard look at themselves.today was just as bad as last week they need to wake up before next week or the jacks will murder us

This was a strong team with a number of players involved in the QPR debacle and there should have been a reaction. There wasn't and they've rescued a draw, which is deeply worrying. If we isolate the Sheff Wed game, performances have been tepid or disastrous over Christmas.
For me, Harris has not got command of that dressing room and we are on the slide. I've said it before but next weeks game really is make or break for him. I don't want to hear about a performance, Harris needs a result. Unfortunately, I not only fear defeat but actually being humiliated.

Harris was just left a complete turd of a squad, one that sadly Warnock was quite proud to leave behind. And as sir Neil spent all the money Harris is now nothing but a fall guy for the previous manager who walked away before it could get any worse. Despite a few happy clappers believing we are mustard and the cream of the championship, the sad fact is, we are worse than crap, poor squad with a poor playing style. Harris has actually done well to get some results and if he can get a draw next Sunday he will go down as a hero in my book.

Hmm where do one start with what’s going wrong?

There is definitely something wrong at the club. The players appear to be on lazy mode, some have looked unfit and others who give the impression they don’t care.

All the bleating coming from the club about trying to sort it out are failing to the extent it’s getting worse! NH has walked into a minefield and personally I don’t think he has the quality to change it. When he says he’s interesting in keeping Peltier even at his age, I cringe.

I would personally get rid of the following over the next 2 windows without fail, Peltier, Richards, Bamba, Connolly, Flint, Bacuna, Pack, Hoilett, Murphy, Madine, Bogle, Paterson, Ward and Vassell.

I don’t think NH destiny lies with the result against Swansea town. It will be who he brings in this month as it will show us his intent.

Another week of watching these players on social media apologising etc etc etc etc.

I agree the squad is slow and imbalanced but we should not be being battered by QPR and struggling to beat a weak division 2 side at home. The team look lethargic and start slowly in so many games, That comes down to Harris and his ability to motivate. If we lose next week, he'll never recover. I will not class a draw at home as being a hero either.

He’s obviously motivated the squad to get some pretty decent results prior to last week. You can only do so much with a squad this bad. And as for not taking a draw, it’s better than having a double done over us, if he can avoid that, he will have done well.

It's not a poor squad
It's a squad that has taken roughly £80million to assemble and has only just come down from the premier league.
Our "2nd string team" today cost over £25million and was added to second half by a £6million striker.
Not many teams in this league can say that.

The squad is good the mindset is shite

There 80m good players and 80m average players! Think most fans say we have average playing squad with possibly 3/4 good players? And certainly not a squad that can honestly be fighting for promotion because only Newcastle in past 8 years or so have gone straight back up..

So our £25m second string couldn’t see off a struggling league two side that is worthless, and our £80m good squad got smashed 6-1 yet you believe it’s because the mindset is bad?

Do you want to borrow some of my straws for you to clutch at? We have such a lack of quality all over. Ffs Harris believes ralls is a superstar!! He’s bang average. Midfield is beyond poor, our wingers are so way too inconsistent, and tomlin is the only player we have, an injury to him and we will struggle. We just don’t have enough quality.
