What is his goal.
If I had a pound for the number of
People I've met over Xmas who
Have said how "crap the football was"
And "not going back" etc.
I could have bought a mini season ticket lol
Seriously though. There are many
Like me City through and through but
Lost habit of attending games.
Thats not good in the long term
Surely.

You would think it would. To be honest I have not looked at the PL club's finances for a long time, but the last time I did I recall that there were combined debts of over £2 billion. Not sure what the figure is now with the huge TV revenue, but I guess to be competitive there you need a huge income to pay the ridiculous transfer fees, and the even more ridiculous wages. Would certainly have been good to see us actually survive there for a while rather than the fleeting visits we have had in recent times.

Like you say he got himself stung once, and I suppose not many people with a good business brain make the same mistake twice. I think a lot of his problems stem from his lack of knowledge about this particular business, and he has had to look to others for advice. At least we have had some serious investment for the first time in 50 odd years, and pumping money into a football club has to be the ultimate gamble. Not sure just how much Mr Tan is prepared to gamble, but it appears to be not a huge amount at this time.

We spent nothing really, even sheff Utd spent 20 million in one player, clubs like West Ham spending 50 million on a player. We really need to get an academy going, so much talent around here we keep losing. After 10 years Tan still doesn’t know how to run a club properly, he’s getting there but for such a wealthy guy I expected a bit more business acumen

I know
I agree, seen it worse but felt better..
I started going in 81 or 82.
Maybe nostalgia
But the banter, the terraces, the crowd camaraderie, the togetherness etc seems to have disappeared.
I fondly remember seats coming in and saying, "bollux,, ill have to watch the shit now lol" as on terraces you were singing or listening to the many characters all packed in by your side.
We could lose 4 v 0 be disappointed but would have had a good day.
Always back for more
When you take the crack away, the cctv, bubble trips sterile stadiums, corporate shite, the football loses its luster.
I honestly thought our time was after our Wembley finals, finally kicking on and establishing ourselves l. That got fucked by the rebrand. Then, we had a golden second chance. Team and fans together, premier league. Time to say thank you and f**k off upstairs to warnock and get a new manager in. If we dodged the first year,, then hey,, we could establish ourselves....
We don't get chances like that often, and you have to grab stuff both hands and bust a gut to seize opportunity. We didn't and we are left with a tired old Bible of a costly squad that a probably better off playing hurling or gaelic fuckin football![]()
Ourfans suffering,, yet again.....

Modern football for you I'm sorry but it's not about the fans anymore it's just not same the Wembley trips were ideal time for us te establish our self as a strong top team but what have we done ten brings us the re brand which nearly killed off the fan base because he thought it make the club more established and look how that went all bad press until we went back to blue and now this its 1 step forward 3 steps backwards. for me the club hasnt been same since we left ninian park you can count on one hand the times we had a major good atmos in CCS the atmos is poor at best now since the rebrand this been first season I've missed home games been going down since 91 been season ticket holder since 02-03 before I get called a plastic fan the sad thing is I'm not bothered about missing games and for me saying that about the team I've followed gone all over the uk watching them it's really sad but again that's what modern football is doing to its fanbase

I am sure i can recall Jazz playing at some time in between injuries the same for Ward.
So (IMO) he is talking about Sol.
Who is the leader of CCFC. I expect SOL gone this window

You could well be right. But it could be that there is no one good enough yet to improve our first team.If accounts from people who watch our youth teams are correct there are a few reasonably promising players but no one really outstanding like Ramsey Earnie and even Simom Howarth were in their day. Let's face it in the last couple of years our most promising youth team players were Tommy O Sullivan and Mark Harris and they are both struggling to get into the non league teams they are currently playing for.
I rather suspect Harris is thinking how on earth can a comparatively bid club like Cardiff have such a rubbish youth set up.
