How many goals were his fault ?
Surely it's time for a change, after all if Smithies let in 6 most would be calling for his head.

None
He's only as good as the defence thats in front of him.

So the 6 v qpr and the 3 v Leeds and 4 against Brentford were not his fault either?
It's not as if we haven't got a good second keeper,

Some goals like the leeds pen and the 2nd qpr goal yesterday were his fault, but when got flint passing to there forwards in front of goal what more can he do? tbh i would get rid if we can get 7 millon for him but that is for money wise not performace wise

He is often in wrong place 1st goal yesterday was blamed on bamba! but jazz and Etheridge could and should have stopped danger ! I was behind goal and that ball was always going over bamba so where was jazz and importantly where was Etheridge? If Etheridge had come for ball it was near (6 yard box) he possibly could have got it but in end he was in no mans land and easily beaten , better positioning could have meant he comfortably saved what was a soft header in end.

You are not allowed to point out any bad parts of his game. His one season of being good two years ago let's him off from any criticism.
Personally I thought he was awful yesterday and probably should have done better with at least four of the goals. If Smithies was in yesterday he would be getting ripped to pieces

I know as got slaughtered for questioning his positioning in another thread! Somehow hes lost that assurance he had previous seasons? If noticed he berated everyone when goals went in, but I think time for smithies to return as confidence seems to have gone at back and that means changing goalkeeper 1st.

Every position should be up for grabs and fought over with the most deserving in place

Smithies got slaughtered for letting 4 in against West Brom. Smithies Should never have been dropped in the first place. He should definitely be starting but I think he’ll be off this month, sadly.

Yeah the west Brom game boy did smithies get the boot in on here and other social media but yet Etheridge can never do any wrong which is weird

And if you remember it was due to error of running to touchline to boot ball out he got injured and was out for weeks! Like said decision making is very suspect along with positioning now..
