Players ultimate responsibility

Thu Jan 02, 2020 7:54 am

Harris is getting a hell of a lot of stick here, let's stick to the facts

* Taken over a team that has been trained and trained and drilled and drilled to play in a certain way
* Taken over a squad that is massively bloated and players just picking up a wage
* Taken over a team that thinks they're better than they are
* Taken over a team struggling to come to terms with Premiership relegation

Put all those things together and he's done a great job to only lose twice in the last ten games.

Yes, yesterday was unacceptable but I've confidence he'll get rid of the hangers on and make decisions that are needed. Our players have had an easy ride for too long.

He needs time! It's not as easy as pressing a few buttons on the PS4 playing FIFA, to turn a whole club around.

The players need a long hard look in the mirror, have you got the balls to fight for this club? If not then f**k off in the transfer window, if yes then you've the perfect game coming up to prove it to the fans.

It's always the same mate. Results like yesterday, despite how dissapointing happen and we just have to get on with it.

We are 3 points off the play offs with 3 home games in January. Be interesting to see where we are at the end of the month.

Exactly mate but I don't know if it's the modern fan, that think football management is easy, or just generally a more moany fanbase but most of the whiners on here are living in cloud cuckoo land.

I know that what your saying re a bloated squad is in line with what our manager thinks but who are these hangers on that we don't need ? if you don't need them ,don't include them.. theres a start..

that's it...Murphy?
seriously ..he has a few times said this too big / bloated thing yet used 21 players in 10 games.. then there are 3 or 4 long term injured..so sorry I don't get it..
B murphy and Traore will leave as out of contract but were only ever emergency short term back up.. a couple of youngsters who don't play anyway will leave on loan and who else ? im not even sure Josh will leave as it was a big investment and I doubt we will get an acceptable offer

even though nothing has improved. it is still to early to judge him. i dont think he'll be successful, and if i am honest i think he will be sacked by next christmas, but he hasnt had a january to sort things out yet. ship out a load of the players, bring in some loans and frees and then he can "implement" this style hes on about

results are decent mate. performances a bit all over the place. its way too early to judge I think..
but id much prefer his interviews to be rome wasn't built in a day and take responsibility for mistakes...we all make them..

What players do you think are here just to pick up the wages ?
I'd like to believe none of them are - and if Harris thinks anyone is - then they are gone immediately.
They're supposed to professional sportsmen who are competent at their job.
I feel sorry for anyone who spent money yesterday watching that.

I agree with your last line, but included or not they are still taking places and wages, that could be used on new recruits, albeit loans by the looks of it. :old: :bluebird:

I agree with OP.
Too many of the core of the squad who would be expected to play 30+ games were not performing for Sir Neil and are not performing still.
