I heard his interview annis on 5 live before the game. Found it really interesting. He said he’s invested his own money in the club and is now part of the board as well as the manager. Basically said he’s fed up of seeing managers get sacked through no faulted their own. He was asked if that means he has to sack himself, he said no ones sacking me mate if anything I’ll be the one sacking board members for not driving the club forward.

Made sense to me as people often blame the manager for a clubs downfall when in reality the problem is far deeper rooted. This way he can have a say in all aspects of running the club.

Genuine question: To what extent is the board at Cardiff holding back the progress of the club?

I’m not sure they are mate to be honest though I don’t know a great deal about things like that. From what I can tell they’ve done a great job in terms of investment and development of facilities etc.

My point was just about clubs in general where there are money men who have no clue about football making all the big decisions.

This is a constant issue.

City have nobody running the club with any football knowledge or insight or whatever adjectives you want to add.

Until they have someone with football vision the club will never emulate the likes of Brighton, Bournemouth, Burnley etc

To be honest I reckon they got a better idea than some of the posters on here judging by what I've read lately.Anybody can have fancy visions with someone else's money. There's a few, including some favourites, that need moving on.This result may be a blessing in disguise long term.

One manager I could never stand, huge ego thinks he is funny (not to me) glad he is back in work hopefully off the highlights show.

I loved his interview and love Holloway’s passion, I always have :thumbright:

I really hope it works out, it usually does for him, a real football man and great character :thumbright:

Kinda have to agree, i think the club is run as a business (guess it has to mostly to be sustainable) first, but when it comes to football. Who really can guide the board etc?

Borley been in the game along time but other then that?

Like Holloway, a character thats not everyone cup of tea. Game would be boring with most the robots in games today.

Dalman has been involved with us for over 7 years before that he had a stake in Man Utd taking him back to 2004 so just that is 16years involved in football clubs.
