Perfect opportunity for Harris to properly freshen the team up. If hes still here.
Get Smithies back in goal
Add some pace to our defence and bring back our captain.
Freshen up the midfield and see what the youngsters have got

No way would I play a weakened team. Pick the team that would play against the Jacks. The wholesale changes means we will be like Warnock's cup teams and lose.

The problem is it supposed 1st team are playing awful and are massively short on confidence. We need reinforcements and these guys need a chance to show what they can do. That team should be strong enough to get passed Carlisle

To be fair the players who started today should play because they should be the second team now.
Apart from flint who should be made U12 vice captain.

Yes that team will frighten the life out of Carlisle. Not

It's not designed to
It's designed to give a few fringe players the chance to stake a claim for the first team whilst still being strong enough to win. Would you bet on today's 11 beating Carlisle because I wouldnt

I'd play the strongest side we could. They have something to prove and they need to get the confidence back asap

What if we lose with a full team to a league 2 side ?
It's quite likely playing as we are and it would put confidence at rock bottom
Especially if Kelvin Etuhu rips our midfield apart

That's a chance I'd take to be honest as one awful result has changed the outlook from the fanbase.

I think the fan base has had the same outlook from the start with Harris, it just took this result to bring it out

Well I'd like to give the guy a chance but today's result is damaging and nobody can say different I feel

I see both points...one things for sure if they {Swansea } beat us and do the first ever derby double the anti Harris meltdown so far will pale into insignificance to the one that would follow such a result..
so do you risk playing a strong team in the cup {which is notorious for upsets } to put the 6-1 behind you and get a bit of confidence.. or just concentrate on what really is a massive game for him ?

Cardiff City boss Neil Harris is expected to make a number of changes for the FA Cup tie against League Two strugglers Carlisle United.
Cardiff will be without winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing as they look to respond after their 6-1 Championship defeat at Queens Park Rangers.
Mendez-Laing is likely to miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.
Joe Ralls is expected to miss out again with a broken hand, while Joe Bennett is also doubtful with an eye injury.
Carlisle boss Chris Beech has a number of fitness concerns as he plots a cup upset.
Defenders Jarrad Braithwaite and Christie Elliott are fitness doubts along with midfielders Stefan Scougall and Mo Sagaf.
Forward Hallam Hope is another worry for the Cumbrians as they target a first away win at Cardiff.

This would be my starting 11 as well. Depending on the score line I would hoping to bring on Brown for Morrison and Bolger in CM.
