Choo and Dahlman

It’s time for these two to go also Choo stick to selling top class cars for Vincent Tan

I agree

Get rid of the two guys who have guided this club under Vincent Tan to probably the most successful period in its history

They have done a fantastic job on and off the field and this club is far better off with then than without. Like everybody they have made mistakes but I bet you cant name one club who has not slipped up at some point with a management appointment. Dont forget it was the same three people who hired Warnock

That’s exactly what’s happening and both live in London, you can’t run us from there and the owner not been to watch us once this season.

Re: Choo and Dahlman

Both done a good job as any we have had over the years.
Unless there is a local billionaire out there then whoever owns/runs the club Will not live in Cardiff.

Just suffered a heavy defeat. Perhaps we should shut the club down. ;)

Only Problem With That Is That Vincent Himself Will Have To Turn Up To Games, Otherwise Who Can He Trust

clubs particularly in premier league have owners or boards that dont watch games as live abroad. Instead they put in their children or advisor to oversee club.. ken goes to most away games seen him several times at services and today at least one of them was at QPR

not sure we are going to get local owners anytime soon...
not ideal but not that unusual anymore at football clubs.

As Tan knows absolutely nothing about football you need someone running the club who knows about football and the football business and culture. Choo knows nothing and whilst Dahlman does have some experience in the game, his interest in taking over Charlton hardly inspires confidence that he is focused on us.

as much as I agree but also some comments are silly, you have to be realistic.
If tan walks today who takes over the club? no one we go bankrupt and were gone.
if Choo and dalman walk then who else is gonna take their positions? no one
we will end up like bury - as much as I disagree with tan sometimes, he's saved our club spending millions every season.

Nonsense.

Just like any large business, you can run them from anywhere now with IT, video conferences, etc. Very few clubs have owners/senior executives living locally anymore. Just a sign of the times sadly.

The business side of the club seems better than it has done in all the time I've been supporting the club (48 years) so that side of things is working well. However, the playing side is where we're lacking and that's run by the manager who, ironically, either lives or stays locally

As I said in another thread, when you look at the players Warnock signed and the money he spent he could easily have addressed where we knew we were weak but the recruitment set-up that he had a hand in putting in place was clearly found wanting.

Tan does rely on Choo and Dalman for insight and both have been present both home and away at most games between them this season so it's not as if the whole senior team is letting the club meander along without their input.

As others have said. I can't exactly see where this queue of prospective investors is !!?? Given the situations at some other clubs, some of a similar size to us e.g. Birmingham, Bolton, etc., I think we should be grateful we're pretty secure right now. There aren't too many takeovers of bottom of Prem/Championship clubs that have worked out for the better lately !!

You agreeing with the OP? I think they've done a great job for the Club in the last number of years. Best owner and senior management that we've had for a very long time.

Tan cant walk away-yet. Most of the debt is owed to him and he would have no hope of getting anything but a fraction of it if the club folded. The clubs biggest assets are

1-The stadium- But this is only worth anything with a football club playing in it. I am pretty sure the Council sold the land with a restriction on its use
2-Future parachute payments - But these are only payable if the club continues in the EFL
3-The players- Not worth much on current form and any hint of a winding up and they would be worth a damn sight less.

If Tan wants out he can do one of two things

Accept the club is worth a fraction of what he has put into it and sell now for say £40 million and write the debt off.
Stay for a couple of years and use a large portion of the parachute payment to pay off the debt owed to himself and then write the rest off and sell

The signals are he is doing the latter.

Dalman and Choo altogether different positions to VT. VT pays the bills which include their wages. They are no different to manager and players.

I'm sure buyers would be queing up to buy us for £40 million!

Ground may have some academic accounting value but it's not worth anything. Only buyers who would actually be able to use it woukd be be FAW or Cardiff Blues. Unless we go down a Coventry or Derby route where we sell it but lease it back at some exorbitant rate that one day we can't afford the ground has no value but thankfully is ours to play in.

We are stuck with Tan in much the same way he probably feels stuck with us.
