Pretty much set due to injuries other than theMorrison dilemma

Correct decision to play Bamba and Nelson together from the start IMHO but will be an interesting game against a half decent Mark Warburton XI up in Shepherds Bush :thumbright:

Looks like the same team a lot of the people were calling for on here lastnight!

Been utter shit and not put any effort in the last 2 or 3 times he’s has played.

Not sure why he feels the need to change formation for this game unless this was the formation he always wanted to play since he came here but has not had the chance yet.

Is he not sure who to drop or not brave enough to drop one of the centre backs so is trying to fit them in ?

Seems a strange game to seemingly go with 3 centre backs

Looks a decent team though depending on how he sets them up

That's certainly an odd one; but ties in with (unconfirmed) whispers that he's been one of the players Neil Harris refers to when talking about those who train well for him and those who don't

City to cut their losses this January?

It would be a huge shame but it would make sense. If he's not up for the cause, it would free up money in other areas; either recruitment or (more likely) debt reduction

To date, like his brother in Newcastle, Josh Murphy has not enamoured himself to the City faithful :(

He interesting to see how and if it works as an employed formation. It worked the other day after we were leading and it was forced upon us but different circumstances.
I am excited to see how it plays out

Cannot disagree, but I thought I read Harris wants Murphy to stay.

Murphy always saw us as a stepping stone but it ain’t worked.
Great on his day but so inconsistent that he isn’t capable of being picked every week....same issue with his brother .

Looks like we are setting not to lose

Is this a 352? If so Hoilett up front?

That will be forgotten if we lose.

To be fair, he did; but that's not reflected in his squad choices, never mind starting XI

Whispers about him, Cunningham and Reid were floating around at the start of the season and Warnock was said to have read him (Murphy) the Riot act after the other two left

Personally, I'd love to see Murphy star his stuff in our starting XI but it disappoints me that at his purchase price/reputation he cannot get into a City team that relies on the fluctuating Hoilett and the inconsistent but hardworking Mendez-Laing

Still, the team today should do a job and (BarryWelsh88 apart) we get behind that we have! :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

I was speaking to a Norwich fan around the time we got Murphy, he said that him and his brother were both very good players and would be missed.
It seems neither can get a game at the moment,I can see him being moved on.

Yet another snipe... read above and I am support if trying the new formation but whilst I am excited to see how it plays out it will be interesting as to what threat we pose the other way. But I like that Harris is actually looking to try something even if it is somewhat forced upon him at the moment.

Hardly a 'snipe'; just stating it as it will be! ;)

You are perpetually and notoriously negative on any given match day, which is why many doubt your credentials as a genuine City supporter

Over to the game thread we go.... :ayatollah:

Will be interesting to see Chris as 3 at the back needs a lot of different and long term training to get it right.
I like Warburton and the way his team plays but hopefully we’ll ‘do em’ today mate.

If we don’t do so well, your ‘mate’ will soon be telling us all!
