Jazz Richards for me

Glatzel for me. Scored and took the bumps even when he couldn't win the ball

Nothing for the ref so I went with Jazz

Glatzel for me

I’ve gone for Jazz because he’s barely put a foot wrong since coming back from injury. And looks strong either side of the pitch. But Sol deserves huge credit because he was immense when he came on. Finally a special mention to Harris for making the change to bring on Sol and change up formation, we haven’t looked that solid all season.

Bamba,was fantastic today.

I've gone for Jazz Richards but it could have been a number today

Richards has shown fine form since his return and (hopefully) started to show the knockers he is a more than decent player when fit

No 'poor' performances today, so well done to all the City players and I hope Joe Bennett and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing weren't too bad after they went off

Before Bamba came on, are defence was not good and I thought we would draw or lose. Bamba bought confidence and organisation to the defence when he came on.

Could have gone to anyone from Bamba, Richards or Bacuna but went for Glatzel excellent hold up play and tidy with the ball.

Neil Harris did well changing the system although it was sort of forced on him. Hope they continue 3 at the back as Bacuna can certainly plat wing back on this showing.

I chose Glatzel, a goal and all round play holding the ball up,Bamba did bring an air of calm to the defence,as has been said,a solid performance from the team :occasion5: but looking at the table, wow its sooooooo tight from 4th to 13th 4 points!!!!

Glatzel had his best game in a city shirt so just gets it from Bamba for me.

Bamba superb when he came on. Another solid game from jazz please stay injury free. Glatzel did well upfront and 2 assists for tomlin again

Bamba needs to be our first choice CB. Nelson is a liability but by default would prob be the partner of choice.

I do fear that Nelson’s deficiencies are starting to show as of late

Bamba was immense when he came on. Hoilett was class too

Really? :?
I’m not quite sure what games you watch but Nelson has been our best defender by an absolute mile  :old:
I do agree with you though on Bamba but no way at Nelson’s expense

I’m not convinced... yes he looks okay because he were suffering initially at CB with Morrison and Flint but yesterday’s goal conceded was criminal no way would any of our other CBs have been beaten like that. He also nearly cost us a goal at Preston. I feel he really needs to sharpen up but has done okay without filling me with confidence.

Got to say that I would make Nelson my first choice centre back. Since Manga left our ability to pass the ball out was non-existent until Nelson came in. He even led two breakaway attacks yesterday !

He's also the only centre back with any real pace, hence why I think he has to be in and then it's a choice of one out of Flint, Bamba and Morrison, my choice would be Bamba if he's over his knee op. Of course, Harris may start to think about playing 3 centre backs after the way the formation worked yesterday so that might be very interesting as we move forward, particularly away from home.

Bamba in a back three excites me as he has enough pace and covers the ground sufficiently enough to mop up the left overs. Not that a back 3 in itself represents excitement but if we are to become more solid away from home and Harris decides to utilise this formation I feel it could work. Can you imagine the opposition having to pick up all of Bamba, Flint and Morrison from set pieces!

I voted fir Jazz he was superb, but can understand why people voted for Bamba and Glatzel, both were also excellent.

Tell me of any CB’s that don’t make mistakes. Even Van Dyke for Liverpool messed up against Wolves the other day and he’s supposed to be one of the best CB’s in Europe.
I will say again that Nelson is our best CB and paired with Bamba or even as a back three our defence will be hard to break down.
Don’t just look at Nelson’s mistakes as his contribution to the team outweighs his mistakes.

Nelson is not our best centre back at all. He is the centre back that is currently on form but he has a lot to learn at this level still and will take him a season or two to adjust to higher quality players. The goal yesterday and the second against Leeds show that perfectly.
I would expect just like the leeds game that Morrison will come straight back in for Nelson next game possibly even Bamba leaving Nelson 4th choice
