MY VIEW " CARDIFF CITY MADE A FAST START AND DEFENDED BRILLIANTLY TO GET A VITAL THREE POINTS "

A BIG AWAY WIN AFTER TWO DRAWS AT HOME :ayatollah:

Neil Harris made one change from the draw with Millwall, as Jazz Richards replaced the injured Lee Peltier.

Jazz Richards made a brilliant block to stop a certain goal in the 12th minute

The match started to settle down after that frantic start with the home team having most of the ball

Was a good performance overall. Still need to keep better possession but restricted them to long crosses and very few if any clear chances 2nd half, very good game management though after NH changed things with subs...

Good to see us start a game well, have felt we have been very slow in starting games more often than not this season.

Great to see Glatzel getting a goal as well.

Fair play that is a fantastic result at Hillsborough.
I don't give us much of a chance but was proven wrong . Just goes to show that this squad is capable

My MOTM Jazz Richards :thumbright:

Nice one, Ned. I was going to do this in the absence of Annis, too!

My initial headline today was going to be "Battling City keep BarryWelsh88 quiet..!" but this performance by City was better than that...

An explosive and opening opening saw the Bluebirds take a deserved 2-0 lead with goals from the much-aligned Robert Glatzel and Junior Hoillet with Lee Tomlin providing the service for both

Sheffield Wednesday were gifted their equaliser with a training ground goal from some poor City defending and the pressure began to build as City went a little into their usual style of play; but having said that, we were still providing ourselves with chances and on those alone I felt we were as good as Sheffield Wednesday at that point

HT: Sheffield Weds 1 - 2 Cardiff City

The second half we certainly had to defend and battled well to repel the constant Wednesday attacks whilst creating some good attacks and chances ourselves

Sheffield Wednesday huffed and puffed but couldn't quite blow the house down, as City players stayed strong and resolute in their resolve to take the maximum from the game

What I would call a superb team effort that quelled the doubters and a win that was richly deserved in the end

FT: Sheffield Weds 1 - 2 Cardiff City

Excellent away win , listen on the radio driving back from north wales , seems like harris got it spot on , bamba changed the game and the formation was just right

Hopefully people will stop writing off Sol Bamba... apparently did well today yet some people felt he was finished

I think peoples worry about Bamba was justified. Sustaining a injury as serious as he did at his age normally means retirement or playing at a much lower level. IF he can get back to the level he was before then he would have done amazingly well. Let's hope he has.

I don't think too many wrote Bamba off, to be fair. It was just the vocal few...

BarryWelsh88 has actually surprised me with his pro-mamba comment. Clearly one-eyed bias after writing off the rest of the team/squad! ;)

I honestly thought we had seen the last of Bamba in a city shirt but couldn’t have been more wrong, on coming on he immediately showed why he’s seen as such a leader and made us a far more impressive defensive unit. Could not believe the difference he made and now genuinely feel the play offs are achievable. Also loved tomlin signalling 2:1 to the Wednesday fans when they were accusing him of time wasting over a free kick.bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

We gave him a 1 year contract extension last week so knew he will have a part to play

I thought they said it was given some time ago when Warnock was here.

I think it was an optional 1 yr extension, which Warnock hadn't activated, and maybe now it has been by Harris? Not 100% sure though.good news is he's here for another year. Was the spar again today, jazz has been class since returning, and so good to see Bamba on the field, such a leader. :ayatollah: :old: :bluebird:
