In Junior Hoilett, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Josh Murphy the Bluebirds possess wingers who should be able to go past their man and create goalscoring opportunities on a regular basis.

Yet it isn't happening and maybe they are not getting the right service in the right areas to deliver that threat.
It's not right that Cardiff fans have to be on the edge of their seats in hope when Mendez-Laing suddenly goes on an exhilarating individual 50-yard dash. They also want to be excited by those three wingers running to the byline in shorter bursts, or being put through by probing Tomlin or Pack passes.
But it won't happen if Pack is 40-odd yards away himself.
The centre-forward dilemma
Good luck to Harris solving this one.
Robert Glatzel looks a proper footballer, but route one doesn't suit him so lumping the ball up and expecting him to win headers against big bruising centre-backs isn't effective.
Gary Madine does suit that style more, but he doesn't score goals.
Danny Ward looks better as a substitute than a starter.
Omar Bogle has gone off the radar, Isaac Vassell isn't fit.
Warnock did so much right as Cardiff manager, but his judgement on strikers was questionable.
Maybe Cardiff need to spend again in January to resolve this dilemma, yet you just hope, with a different approach and service, that Gatzel could yet justify the fee paid for him.
If not, they could do worse than stick Callum Paterson back up there. A right nuisance to defendces.

I have been saying this all season. If we play the same way, Paterson is the best striker we have. Ward coming on when the centre half's are tired after 80 mins.

Paterson is an awful striker.

A load of nonsense really as the three wingers mentioned have never done that consistently since being at the club

I'd still put my money on Paterson getting more goals than the others if he played there regularly

Maybe right but I think the team would suffer for it. I think we would get more points with any of our others striking playing even if they did get less goals.
