Just to be clear, our attack is literally the same as the one against Millwall, however, our lack of creativity and attacking pressence from Peliter stop-started our fluidity, I'm sure you noticed that we played a "little bit" better down that side once Richards came on. Also it doesn't matter if you play Pack in a 3 or a 2, he is just too slow both in speed and thinking.

I think our main priority should be consistent wingers who can atleast pose a threat to the oppositions goal, at the moment our best 2 options on the wing are Mendez-Laing who does very well at pushing us up the pitch, but not as well with his vision and passing which essentially doesn't give Glatzel much chance of scoring. As for Hoilett he's passed it, but he's still a better option than Murphy. I'm still hopeful for whyte but he doesn't have a goal or assist to his name yet so his vision/passing needs to be sorted out too, I know he's not old, but he plays like somebody who's younger than he is, which is worrying. He's 24 next month..

Let's face the facts. Our attack would be much more threatening with Zohore up front ahead of ANYBODY we have right now, that's just a fact, because Zohore would get double marked every game giving space for our other attackers to exploit, whilst also popping up with a goal once and a while, granted it wasn't as often as we'd have liked.

If you have Flint, Pack, or Ward as part of our "best 11" then we really are screwed and playoffs is going to be near impossible. Luckily, I don't believe any of those players are in our best 11, which isn't saying much but it's still alot better than those 3. We need to chill out with the Smithies thing too. Etheridge has done no wrong in regards to his Shot stopping and coming off his line. His only issue has been kicking, and let's be real he has an AWFUL game a few weeks ago where every kick he had went straight to the touchline, however that was one game and he only miskicked it about 3 times against Millwall, let's get serious, Smithies is not a better goalkeeper than Etheridge if you believe that you're a fool.

I must be a fool then because I think Etheridge is absolute garbage at everything other than shit stopping , even that hes been poor at recently . Smithies is by far the better all round keeper and I think he will soon win his place back

I didn't mean it to be rude, contextually I'm calling you a fool, as a figure of speech. Obviously my opinion is no better than yours, but in my opinion for somebody to consider any of the 3 I mentioned as a "best 11" of what's currently at the club, I do think - in this instance - it's foolish. I might be right, you might be right, at the end of the day it's apparent the people who prefer Smithies & Pack won't change their mind, and vice versa. It's all good.

It’s funny that everyone is now picking Jazz and Tomlin in our best team and yet before they started playing they were the first two everyone wanted to get rid of!

It's one thing picking the best team and another picking a player for a season.

Richards is our best right back but we still need rid as an injury is always around the corner.

Glatzel is terrible. A panic signing who was never going to be a fit for this team

Re: Our best starting team

Smithies has better distribution than Etheridge and knows how to kick the ball
I would consider returning to Morrison and Bamba as centre backs, although Nelson is promising.
Jazz must have a full back roll.
Obviously Ralls in midfield; probably with Pack and Bacuna.
Patterson needs games and could be a more effective 'target striker' than all the others.
I would use Ward to play off him with either Hoilett or Tomlin to supply.

Sorry, but Mendez, Murphy, Glatzel, Madine have had enough chances and need a break, or move on.

Smithies
Peltier, Morrison, Bamba, Jazz
Pack
Bacuna, Ralls, Hoilett/Tomlin
Patterson, Ward
