I didn't go, did it look that many, or did a lot of season ticket holders like myself not bother.

The way we've been playing, it's pretty decent. I know loads who normally go who didn't bother, including myself.

No ST this season

First time I've not had one at CCS

The Tan years have killed me off.
All that potential, wasted.
Designed to be mediocre.
Premier twice but even then
We set up for relegation.

No ambition, no quality.

An appalling standard of football.

I went to visit family.Watched it the red button. We need 3-4 quality players.

Same here.....time for family not uprooting most of the day

Too many fans will only sing when the players are performing well, which is ironically when they don’t need our support. The atmosphere has been dire the last two home games, despite the best efforts of small pockets of the Canton Stand.

Been saying that for some time; our crowd don't get behind the team in great numbers at home :(

Some mock but I'm an advocate of Vince and his drums; at least they are giving it a go! :ayatollah:

I looked around and thought it looked a lot more than Preston home. And the official attendance in that game was 22600

I'm not talking the numbers I'm on about the atmosphere. No one could be bothered. I know the answer is probably going to be but what have we got to shout about, but how about us supporters do what we're supposed do and support the team. We managed to do it in with 7,000 in Division 3 I'm sure we can do it with 22,000 in the championship.

If anything an atmosphere makes for a better day out and experience. Everyone moans about it but decides not to sing. Baffling.

It doesn’t help that we start so slowly and tend to have no possession and resort to aimless long balls that Glaziel who is unable to hold up alone so we keep losing possession, fans start to lose any enthusiasm and wait for City to try and get forward on breakaways with cries of “chase it”

Lucky if we see a shot on target in first half ....check stats from past 3-4 home games !

Bring someone like dave Jones back. All I want to be is entertained not sat there bored out of my skull wondering whether we are gonna get a shot on goal. Win or lose I'm not bothered as long as we can see them at least trying to entertain us and wanting to push and try to score goals for at least most of the game and not just the last 10 mins

Re: The Crowd

Literally the only entertaining bits of the game is when Tomlin gets the ball TO HIS FEET as u know he can produce magic. Watching etheridge makes saves and watching him take goal kicks as u don't know where the ball is gonna end up

Very rarely go to Boxing Day games. Spend time with the family, far more important than watching the City.

Same here. When I was younger I used to go on Boxing Day, had some good away trips and days in Cardiff but as I have got older and lost people I prefer to stay at home on Boxing Day and spend it with all of the family.

I guess it just depends on individuals circumstances at that time doesn't it.

Come on mate, when did we ever have 7,000 in Division 3, few and far between those days, most of the time it was 3-4k with a handful, literally a handful singing in the Canton Stand or the Bob Bank in the 90s.

Atmosphere is always determined by League position, if we are doing well its great, if we are at the bottom it's siege mentality and decent, if we are middle of the road, like we are now it's stagnant, that's not changed in the 26 years Iv gone tbh.

we did have mostly 3/4k....but we did also have very decent crowds as he mentioned in the promotion years under Eddie , Burrows and when Sam arrived.. but don't think you can compare promotion years with mid table years no matter what division your in...
I had a ST throughout the 90s and the atmosphere bounced between pretty decent/good in the promotion years to 30 guys giving it a go in the old canton for the crap seasons , there were far more crap seasons..
strange, but having watched all that lower leagues stuff and never questioning myself the last couple of games ive wondered why I came ?

The football experience has become too sterile, too commercial. Billionaire owner, players on 20+ grand a week. Yet, The club lock us in and charge £5.50 for a burger when McDonald's is just across the carpark. The club's motto is "Together as one" lol

I'm recently feeling in football and society we are just units of currency who shouldn't express tribal allegiance & know our place.

Or am i being overly cynical?
